Kiyotaka Pov

As our summer break drew nearer and nearer to a close, so did all of our time on the Speranza. The early morning sun rose and in the distance, the coast of ANHS grew bigger and bigger on the horizon. Crowds of students already had their luggage together, and as a group, we all watched the land grow nearer and nearer.

I stood at the back, surrounded by Shinohara, Matsushita, and Karuizawa. The 4 of us were talking among ourselves, not unlike the groups around us.

Our conversation revolved around the exam results which affected the class rankings greatly. After the exam, the point total came out to:

Class A: 716

Class B: 862

Class C: 760

Class D: 590

Reshuffling the rankings, you can see how drastic these changers were in full.

Class A(B): 862

Class B(C): 760

Class C(A): 716

Class D(D): 590

While Class D's point totals did not shift at all, Class A has plummeted to near the bottom. In the next exam, there's a chance Class C will fall further into Class D.

Looking around the deck, there's a complete lack of Class C students, besides Kamuro and Yamamura.

They were likely grilling Katsuragi about the exam.

When those students sided with him, they expected a victory, not such a crushing defeat at the hands of the lower classes. The next few months are going to be very interesting when it comes to the front lines of the Class battles.

Now, however, it is time for my true intentions with Ichinose to bloom. I had wrapped myself up in her conflicts as well as her class, and now it was time to see if she could handle Ryuen and Sakayanagi.

If she can, then perhaps I'll be able to test her against myself, that is, if she passes them.

She has demonstrated her cunning and charisma before, specifically in the last exam where she pushed every class back for a time until we hit a wall.

In that exam, she would have needed everyone's cooperation, and she was put with some of the most stubborn people in our grade.

Unfair was what most would say. A good person is put in a group with those who don't want to progress.

That, however, was the intention of the school, to test how some charismatic students would handle those lacking in the intention of being involved in the class.

In the other groups, that remained true, putting students like Horikita with students like Manabe and Sotomura.

Koenji was an example of one of the people in the way of his group's progression.

Surprisingly or unsurprisingly, I'm not too sure, he correctly identified the VIP in the Monkey Group.

"No way he guessed, the chances would be ludicrous, even for him."

He must be able to identify liars very well then.

I know for certain that he must have found me out in the first month, considering he referred to me as Liar-Boy for quite some time.

But what is Koenji to this class?

Detrimental? He has shown both positives and negatives.

Helpful? Who am I kidding.
