We were warned about the possibility of the water shutting off suddenly due to a problem with the air conditioning in the girls' dorm, but I didn't expect anything to happen.

That was, until, I was wrist deep into a metal water bottle when the water shut off.

Crap.

I attempted to free my hand from the water bottle's evil clutch, but no luck. My hand was trapped.

So what now? Do I live life as a one-handed man? Could this have practical uses?

Probably not. The question is, how do I get my hand unstuck?

I could call Kikyo to help, but she may be busy. Katsuragi? Possibly but being seen as weak by someone of influence could prove to be less than advantageous. Nagumo? He would laugh at me but still help. Again though, same problem as with Katsuragi.

At this hour of 8:00pm, some people may not be in the mood to rip a metal bottle off someone's hand.

With no other choice, I called Kikyo's phone with the hopes of her answering. No response.

I called again, pleading with an imaginary force for her to answer. No dice.

Maybe she was napping or just away from her phone. In which case, a text will do just fine.

I explained the situation at hand through a text message and waited for a few minutes.

Upon a student receiving a message and looking at it in the chat logs, a sign will appear marking the text as read.

This text remained unread by Kikyo.

I sighed, once again pulling at the black water bottle my hand had been so cruelly kidnapped by.

If I tried to bend the metal, the bottle would break, and this one I got on sale. Something about it not being trendy anymore.

If Kikyo couldn't help me, only one person could.

I hesitantly called the person and waited.

"Ayanokouji-Kun, what do you want?" asked Horikita on the other line. She sounded annoyed about something, definitely my calling her at such a time.

"My hand is stuck in a water bottle," I supplied.

The line went dead.

I called her back.

"Stop joking around Ayanokouji-Kun or I'l turn you into a Spongebob Cosplay," she said sternly.

"What?"

"I heard Sudo-Kun say that to Yamauchi-Kun."

"Interesting. Well, it's true, my hand got stuck in a metal bottle."

Horikita laughed, "how pathetic! You used all three of your brain cells to do that, hm?"

"Horikita, you're so cruel."

"Regardless, what buffoon sticks their hand into a water bottle?"

"I was washing the bottle that's why."

Horikita sighed on the other line, "no matter. Why are you calling me?"

"You're the first person I thought of."

"Really? Not Kushida-San, Hirata-Kun, or anyone else? You had to pick me?"

"If you must know I chose Kikyo first but she didn't answer, so don't be too proud of yourself."

"The exact opposite, I wonder how much I could have messed up for God to have cursed me with this call," said Horikita contemptuously on the other line.

I sighed, "Horikita please just lend me some help?"

"Fine. I'll help you."

The line went dead after that. I waited in silence for a few minutes, hoping Horikita didn't plan on leaving me to die with a water bottle around my hand.

Suddenly, a knock on the door.

Rushing over, I flung it open to see Horikita glaring at me. In her hands was a phone and bottle filled with water.

I instantly realized she took a picture of me when I was blinded by a flash, followed by, "say cheese."

"Ugh, usually you say that before you take the picture?"

"Your smile freaks me out, so it's better without," said Horikita coldly.

"Wow, Horikita, so heartless."

Horikita rolled her eyes, "fine then, let's do this."

I let her pass by me to the kitchen where she stood at the sink. I followed after her like a dog, and stood beside her.

"Now, give me your bottle."

"You mean my hand?"

"I don't see a hand. Give me the bottle."

I obliged with a sigh, and she began to pour water into the bottle, "start pulling your hand Ayanokouji-Kun."

I yanked with all the force I could muster and it slid out easily. Unfortunately, Horikita miscalculated when my elbow slammed full force into her jaw.

She staggered back, clutching at her jaw, and she cried out, "you-you did that on purpose!"

I shook my head, "no, it was on accident, I swear."

Horikita drew her weapon of choice, a compass. The sharp edge glimmered in the kitchen light, striking fear in anyone who saw it.

I backed away and grabbed at anything on the counter to help me: a cutting board.

Horikita charged at me and stabbed at me with her compass. I drew the cutting board forward, blocking the weapon with a clang.

"Horikita come on it was an accident!"

"SO THIS IS AN ACCIDENT AS WELL!" roared Horikita, swiping at me.

The compass stabbed my arm.

Ow.

Author: See like, I wanted to make this a chapter but there wasn't too much to adapt to it without making it literally just canon material? Unless y'all want that in the future, let me know. Anyways, I'm so sad because all my senior friends are graduating like what????But fun news, I played Tag in school with some friends and it ended with me leaping across a table! Have a great day and see you next time I update!
