Chapter 9: Classroom of the Average

As soon as Chabashira said that, the entire class blew up in surprise.  I heard many people saying that she made a mistake in what she said, some people were saying that they must have a mistake with hearing and they were going deaf.  I was positive what I heard was correct though, we were in Class C.

Hirata: Um Sensei, we are Class D though, right?

Ike: Sae-Chan, did you hit your head this morning?

Yamauchi: Maybe she started menopause!

Sotomura: Yamauchi-Dono, I don't think she did...

Ike: How would you know?

Chabashira: Quiet!  I made no mistake in what I said, what I said was the simple truth.

Yamauchi: B-but it isn't-

Chabashira: Are you really that dumb?

Her words cut through the atmosphere and we all stopped our complaints as she smiled at each and every one of us.  Her eyes lingered on me with a satisfied smirk before resuming her speech.

Chabashira: Despite Ayanokoji telling you all to be careful numerous times, which was caught on the security cameras.  Those same cameras also caught your horrendous behavior in class.  Sleeping, talking on your phones, reading inappropriate literature, increased absences, etc.  All of these acts were caught on high quality cameras.  Which is why you got the points that you did.

Hirata raised his hand.

Hirata: Sensei, is there anyways we can get the points back?  And isn't it unfair the school is judging us without telling us?

Many people began whispering and nodding their heads to Hirata's words. 

Yamauchi: Yeah you should have told us this isn't fair!

Kiyotaka: In a way, she did though.  She said we would be getting 100,000,"This month,"aka April.  She never said we would be getting 100,000 points,"Every month,"that including May, June, July, etc.

Chabashira: That is correct.  Perhaps had some of you listened to Ayanokoji, who is better than all of you because he aced the entrance exam-

Damn she is laying the salty seeds in the already bloody open wound.  I could hear the gasps from many as the boys looked at me with jealousy and some thumbs up, and the girls like I was a piece of meat that had the juiciest thighs.  Which I do but that's not the point.

-but he told you all outright to behave, and yet some of you ignored it.  And to answer your question Hirata, you can gain points from the Midterms later this month. However if you fail, you will be expelled. Let's open up the results of the quiz from last month, ok?

Chabashira tacked onto the white board a massive sheet of paper, and on it displayed the scores of all 40 students in Class C.

Chabashira: As you can see, there are berry few high scorers-

She pointed to the top where I, Horikita, Yukimura, Hirata, Kikyo, and Koenji were, and then at the middle section where everyone else was.

-then some average scores around the 50-70 ranges. And then scores from 20-40. While most of you are fine, 4 of you would be expelled if this is a real test.

Kiyo & Everyone: Expelled?!

Chabashira: I did say that, didn't I. Ike, Yamauchi, Sotomura, and Hondo. All of you lucked out. If this was given to researchers, they would have concluded you were first year middle school students, not first year high school students, especially not at this school.
