                           Kiyotaka Pov

Facing the weekend ahead, I was prepared for a weekend of relaxation. The past few weekends had been occupied by working with several classmates in the gym or otherwise just on other skills.

Most students planned on going out, and so did I. From Kikyo's trio of nice girls, I had received an invitation to go walk around the mall in the afternoon.

Right now, I was picking out a set of clothes. It had been a while since I had last gone shopping, so it was about time for me to select new clothes to wear out.

As I was preoccupied with looking at myself in the mirror, my phone suddenly pinged on the dresser. Looking at the screen, I realized it was a text from Mii-Chan, asking to meet early and privately.

Strange.

Kiyotaka: Sure Mii-Chan, I'd be happy to.

Mii-Chan: Ok, thank you Ayanokouji-Kun! Can you meet me at Pallet in 30?

Kiyotaka: Sure.

The group was supposed to meet in an hour, so this conversation must be more important than just a simple meetup before.

I finally decided on an outfit and decided to get to Pallet early to order a drink.

When I walked into the cafe, I spotted Mii-Chan already seated near the back of the shop. On the table, she had a cup of tea.

"Hey, Mii-Chan!" I said, raising my hand above my head. The blue-haired girl smiled and waved me over, "thank you for meeting me early, Ayanokouji-Kun."

"Mhm, it's no problem! I'm surprised you also came here early though."

"I got ready earlier than I thought so I decided to get my drink ahead of time."

"Ok, I'm going to order myself a drink, so I'll be right back."

I walked away and got in line, looking at the menu. The options seemed rather enticing, especially to my dry throat.

Watermelon Kiwi refreshers, blueberry tea, a Skibidi Toilet cup, Gamer Girl bathwater, and other drinks. I settled on a watermelon kiwi refresher and then walked back to the table to wait.

As I sat down, I spoke, "so what was this about, Mii-Chan?"

"We-well you're close friends with Hirata-Kun, right?"

I raised my eyebrow. I was friendly with him, enough to know some of his secrets, "yes, why is that?"

"Well, you see...I like Hirata-Kun, I've liked him since the first day of school!"

Shocking. I could hardly tell. She gave no hints. Besides that, she blushed whenever he talked to her.

"That's amazing Mii-Chan! So are you going to ask him out?"

"I'm not so sure yet. Since you're close with Hirata-Kun, do you know if he's...still interested in Karuizawa-San?"

He is interested in her, but not in a romantic sense.

"No, I believe he has moved on."

"Phew, that's a relief! Well, I feel awful about him and Karuizawa-San."

"Don't worry Mii-Chan, I know what you're saying. Although I must warn you, he doesn't seem to be interested in pursuing a relationship right now."

"I figured as much. The b-breakup was rather recent I suppose."

"Say, why are you so interested in him? Most crushes don't last that long, you know."

Mii-Chan's face flushed, and she stuttered, "y-you know how I am from China, right? Back there, i-it was competitive so I never focused on any crushes. So now that I know Hirata-Kun, it's like my first love."
