Kiyotaka Pov
I walked to school far earlier than I had ever done normally, skipping my normal gym routine for the day.
The reason I had to go to school early was due to a meeting in the Student Council room. As the era of Horikita Manabu approached its conclusions, the start of Nagumo-Senpai's era began.
A short election had been had, and the votes resulted in Nagumo being the sole president. There was no competition: Kiryama only had a handful of votes. Everyone, including myself, voted for Nagumo.
With that, a new Student Council would be created, with Nagumo-Senpair's vision being the frame for which it would be created. I had a vague idea of who would be on his council, Asahina-Senpai and I being guaranteed spots on the council in my mind.
Horikita-Senpai as well as Tachibana-Senpai would be kicked off by default, due to their school lives approaching their death.
Still, that would put the council as three members, not nearly enough to satisfy. Perhaps Nagumo-Senpai could appoint someone else from the first year, like Ichinose or Katsuragi. The odds of it being Katsuragi were low, considering how far Class C fell.
Ichinose, however, seems to have grown.
But would recruit someone like Ichinose benefit Nagumo-Senpai's system? Her class is built on the idea of reaching Class A together, not as individuals.
Ichinose's class being in Class A spits in the face of Nagumo-Senpai's ideas, which is why I cannot imagine Ichinose being on the council.
I imagine Nagumo-Senpai will go for a small council. In the past based on the record books in the office, most of the councils had a large amount of students, several secretaries, and treasurers.
Nagumo-Senpai, who is trying to deviate from tradition, would lobby for a smaller more controlled council, supporting the idea of individuality.
Horikita-Senpai's council was not entirely large, however, I was working with several other secretaries during my time in his council.
As I entered the quiet school, I was met by a bubbly girl, Asahina Nazuna. She wore her orange school uniform, accompanied by a sunflower pin in her hair.
"Hey Ayanokouji-Kun!"
"Asahina-Senpai, good morning, how are you?" I asked, swapping my shoes for the indoor shoes.
"Pretty good, just had one of those microwavable egg sandwiches. It was pretty good, but also moist, so next time I try it, I could wrap it in a napkin to let it dry, but enough about me, what about you? Excited to see if you're still on the council?"
I nodded, "very. A little bit nervous, but excited nonetheless."
"Wow, you're so humble. Don't worry, Miyabi-Kun is gonna have you on the council."
"Did he tell you?"
"Well, no it's confidential info, you know. Buuuut, he likes you."
"What a relief!" I said, pretending to have the imaginary stress lifted from my shoulders, then I grinned, "although I don't swing that way."
"Really? You don't?"
My mouth went agape, "you too?!"
"Ehh, it's a theory between some girls, you know."
"Great."
"No need to worry about it, just some gossip. Maybe Miyabi-Kun can help you out there."
"Rejecting him would dispel the rumors, right?
