"Chabashira-Sensei, did I keep you waiting?"

I walked into the school and that is when I saw her. The school itself was quiet, as everyone else had left long before.

I originally went with Sato to watch a movie in my dorm room. She left, and I called Chabashira-Sensei out.

Now, Chabashira-Sensei awaited me in the hallway, staring down at her heels.

Chabashira sighed, "Not at all. Why do you call me out like this? A special occasion?"

"You know I wouldn't call you out needlessly. Especially after your blackmail attempt."

"Right, well, what is it? I won't be kept waiting."

"Before I tell you, I have to ask a few questions. Why are you so obsessed with reaching Class A?"

She chuckled, "That's an odd question to suddenly ask. If you must have an answer, it's not for any official reasons."

"By official you mean related to the school system itself?"

"You can see it as that. My motives should not matter to a student," said Chabashira.

"So you wouldn't mind if I asked Hoshinomya-Sensei?"

"Not at all. What you do with your own time is up to you," she said nonchalantly.

"How are you so sure we'll even reach Class A? You have to admit some of us haven't matured at all since the beginning of the school year," I noted, trying to make the situation grim to her.

"What are you trying to do?" she asked, an annoyed look creeping onto her face.

"Well," I said, "I'm curious about you. You insist upon reaching Class A but have held us back since the beginning. We could have done better during the midterms if you didn't purposefully withhold information from us. Don't you have any regrets?"

She laughed, "That's a funny thing. Regrets. I don't regret that event."

"That event. So you have other regrets?"

Chabashira immediately responded, "Not at all. I've been fully prepared from the start for any situation."

"Lying must be easy for you," I smirked.

"Tell me whatever you came here for or I'm leaving."

I laughed, "Fine, fine! Ryuen is attacking Kikyo."

"Attacking? What do you mean by that, surely you don't mean physically."

"Not just physically, but mentally."

"What does this have to do with me? This seems to be a conflict between the classes unless you want me to report this incident?"

Shaking my head, I continued, "No. But this does affect you more than you think apparently. If this continues, Kikyo will drop out."

She flinched and turned around, "Are you so sure about that?"

Her face, for a fraction of a second, was contorted in worry, the smoking bullet I needed to go forward.

"Judging by your reaction, I'd say the penalty is big. Who knows how hard our class would fall without Kikyo acting as a peacemaker between the cliques? Secrets are a big thing, but when one person controls the flow of them as a trustworthy individual, they are no longer as much of a threat. However, when these secrets are directed to another source, how long will it take for it to topple the wall protecting this class?"
