Kiyotaka Pov
Our group was already sitting at a table in Pallet when Karuizawa and I arrived together. The cafe was rather quiet, I believe the other classes must be having their meetings as a whole.
The only problem with that for Class D at this moment is the threat of Koenji, as well as interruptions from Yamauchi and Ike.
Forming an elite group to take on each exam preparation period is the most efficient.
Kikyo waved at us, "Karuizawa-Chan, Kiyotaka-Kun, finally!"
"We waited long enough, let's start," said Horikita, pulling her notebook from her bag.
Ken looked over her shoulder, "how'd you even write that much?"
"I've had a lot of experience with taking notes, and I've read crime stories before."
"How do crime stories play into notetaking skills?" asked Kikyo.
"Theorizing. That's how my notebook is already so full."
Kikyo leaned over the table, and I couldn't help but notice the way her cleavage rested on the tabletop, "Horikita-San, can you teach me sometime?"
"I don't see any direct benefit to be gained from that, Kushida-San."
Kikyo pouted but relented, sitting back down, "ok, Horikita-San."
She must be trying to get closer to Horikita for some reason. Perhaps to learn her secrets. I highly doubt Horikita would reveal any of her dark secrets to someone like Kikyo.
I sat down next to Kikyo and Karuizawa sat down to my right. Now I was sandwiched between two of the "prettiest" girls in our year.
Horikita spoke, "I have made some theories regarding how the pairs will be formed. My top theories, however, are that the scores from the mock exam will contribute to the formation of the pairs."
"Why do you think that?" asked Karuizawa.
"Think about it Karuizawa. If her theory was correct, it would explain why there would be only a few students expelled each year because if lower students were paired together their average wouldn't even be close to the requirement," I said.
Beside me, Kikyo hummed, "so if every class is expected to have 40 students around this time, there must be at least two categories right? For the top and then the lower students?"
I shook my head, "there may be even four categories, two being in the middle for average students."
"So we conclude there are four categories: High performing, Low performing, Above Average, and Below Average," said Horikita, writing this down in her notebook.
"Then the top and lower students form a pair, and the above average and below average form a pair," narrated Hirata.
I looked to Ken, who was seated by Karuizawa, "you understand this?"
He sighed, "nope, not one bit."
"Anyways, now we must figure out who to attack. I'm sure you all have mutually agreed our highest chance of victory comes from defeating Class B?" asked Horikita to the group.
Everyone nodded, but Karuizawa began, "what if Class C targets us? That's like an easy win for them."
"You're saying that cause they're sucking so much ass they're going to target us?" asked Ken.
"While what you said was kinda weird, that's correct, Ken," I said, continuing, "I think we need to negotiate something with Ichinose and her class to target Class C."
