Chapter 19: Piccolo and Jupiter

"Piccolo," Makoto called out to him her voice seemed to have caught his attention as he stopped his movements and turned towards her.

"Jupiter, what are you doing out here?" Piccolo asked when he spotted her. He had been doing the meditation before Makoto came to check on him.

"You missed dinner," Makoto said.

"I don't eat food. I only drink water." Piccolo said.

"I see. I understand now that Namekians don't usually eat food. I have to go." With that, Makoto took off leaving him alone.

"Makoto." That was the first time he called out her name, which surprised her.

She turned to face him. "Yes?"

"Can I ask you something?" Piccolo asked, facing her.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Would you like to be my mate?" Piccolo asked. He wasn't afraid to ask her.

"Wh-What?!" Makoto asked, shocked.

"Only if you want to, Makoto," Piccolo said, blushing softly. There was silence between the two. The both of them didn't know what to say at that moment. Unable to bear the silence any longer, Makoto broke it.

"Piccolo, why do you want me to be your mate?" Makoto asked. She was surprised that Piccolo had asked to be his mate, but she wanted to know the reason why.

"First of all, I never liked you when we first met, but turned out I found out the reason to start over again and the reason is you who changed me to be a better person. When I watched you fight off the soldiers, I was scared you might be killed. I was willing to make my vow to protect you from danger. I was afraid to lose you when I had to help you escape from death. I found you very strong and attractive. You fight your hardest to protect all of us. You also fight to gain the respect of others. You have a kind heart when it comes to Gohan." Piccolo said.

Makoto was shocked to hear his confession while blushing heavily. She quickly turned around and placed her hands on both sides of her cheeks. No one had ever said those kinds of things to her. This was most definitely a first for her.

He continued, "If you don't wish to be my mate, I'll understand, but I won't give up on you."

Mwkoto slowly turned around and saw the look of perseverance in Piccolo's eyes. For some strange reason, she couldn't look away from them. She could tell that he wasn't going to give up on her. Then she finally realized that Piccolo was standing right in front of her. Her heart was beating so fast she felt like she couldn't breathe as she continued to stare into his eyes.

Then Makoto came up to him leaned closer and placed her lips against Piccolo's. He liked the sensation of her lips as he pushed his tongue in. He never kissed a girl before, but this was his first time. Her body heat was rising as he continued to kiss her. She wrapped her arms around his neck to help deepen the kiss. It was a long and passionate kiss. He didn't want it to end, but he knew that they needed to breathe soon. Then he released her lips.

"So that is a yes?" Piccolo asked, smiling as he stared into Makoto's emerald eyes.

"That is a yes," Makoto said, smiling back as she stared into Piccolo's onyx amethyst eyes.
