Lauren's eyes go wide and Lukas tightens his grip on the wall bar as he looks to confirm he isn't making this up in his mind.
Before them in the middle of the station- standing in a nice gray suit- is the Devil himself.
"What the fuck is he doing here?!" Lauren inwardly growls and Lukas shakes his head.
"He bloody better not have." The police officer comes around to Lukas and undoes his handcuffs. The kid rubs his wrists and he can't help but stand behind Lauren. "You gotta call Mum. We can't let him go with him"
Lauren takes Lukas's hand and heads over to Logan- trying to avoid eye contact with the man she has grown to loathe.
"Logan, please tell me you didn't." Lauren seethes quietly and Logan looks around her at his father- the first look of the man he doesn't remember all too well.
"I did." He says and before any of them can get another word out, Akash walks over with the police woman, who undoes his cuffs and the boy rubs his own wrists as well
"Well...it's been a very very long time, Logan. It's so nice to see you." Akash goes in for a hug and Lauren steps in front.
"I'm sorry, there's been a mistake."
"Lauren Bloom? I suppose." Akash gives her his classic charismatic smile and extends his hand.
Which she refuses to accept because she's still dwelling on the thought of how he possibly knows who she is. Akash turns to Lukas, who towers him and his smile ever so slowly rises like a devilish grin.
"Lukas Za'Hir—how you've grown my boy." Akash goes to touch his hair and Lukas backs up. "Well the only person missing from this family reunion is your beautiful mother. So? Where is she?"
He asks with the widest smile possible as he stuffs his hands in his pockets and casually looks at all of them.
"Mum's sick." Logan says and Lauren and Lukas shoot him the 'shut up' face. "She's back at the motel."
"Logan." Lukas seethes through gritted teeth.
But the kid is too naive to understand the risks of the situation at hand.
"Awww, well- then we should all go pay her a visit to make her feel better."
"You're not going anywhere with us." Lauren firmly states and Akash narrows his black eyes at her, yet his charming smile doesn't dim at all.
"I would advise you to tread carefully, Miss Bloom—seeing how you aren't a legal guardian to my boys and it could be considered kidnapping if you try and take them without parental permission. And seeing how I am a parent to these children- I could easily have you arrested. Oh! And look where we conveniently are." He looks around and then turns back to her. "So take my advice, Honey—and get moving."
"You don't have legal custody over them." Lauren states confidently.
"I'll have you find, I don't need legal custody, biologically I am their father and you are no more than a simple woman who has been toeing the line." He states confidently and Lauren knits her brows together and Akash smiles at Logan- knowing he is in fact the weakest one here and the easiest to play. "So, Buddy—take me to Mum. I would love to see her."
....
She had no choice but to hold both their hands as Akash escorted them from the police station to his white Escalade. Logan's eyes widen as well as his smile once he sets eyes on the excessively large vehicle before them.
"Please." He opens the doors and Logan is about to get in, when Lauren tightens her grip on him.
"No—we're not getting in that thing." Lauren firmly states and Akash- still smiling gently takes her by her shoulder and ushers her in first.
