He's always considered himself a good kid, who just ends up in terrible situations.

Most of the time those situations aren't as terrible as they could be.

But the really bad ones, he tries so hard to forge through by himself.

Lukas, having grown up with a strong woman like his Mum, has always found that being tough is the way he needs to be to get what he needs.

So when he handed over that apology letter to Rex way back in the end of August- he was playing the game of being tough.

This kid made him feel he needed to be dominant- always.

The aura he put out to Lukas- told him that there was no room for lightfoots.

So it had truly surprised him when one day- when the Sharpe's were still living in the motel and Logan was with his father- that Rex of all people ran into him at the corner store and asked him to hang out.

Rex admired the letter meant a lot to him.

Told him that no one ever apologizes to him for shit—especially when he causes the problems.

It came to light that Rex had a "touch of interest" in guys like Lukas.

And at the time, Lukas- never truly having thought of sexuality or relationships, thought to himself that Rex was just a misunderstood byproduct of domestic violence and neglect like himself.

Though Lukas would never say he was neglected- ever.

Their bond grew around music and during lunches or free periods, the boys often sat in some off corner of the school grounds sharing their thoughts on society and their views.

At no point, did Lukas ever truly admit he had feelings for Rex- because in all honesty- he didn't truly have those sort of feelings ever—for anyone.

And when Rex began talking about his "bedroom habits" to Lukas— the poor kid had zero inclination as to what any of that was about.

Yet Lukas still likes Rex.

He wants to be friends and hang out.

He enjoyed going to the dance with him and felt protective over the kid.

Yet he just doesn't understand the need for what most teenagers look for.

Masturbation, fooling around, and sex- just doesn't appeal to Lukas.

In fact the entire thought of it makes him feel extremely itchy and uncomfortable.

He's never looked at a woman or man in a movie or magazine and had that urge to just be alone.

If you get what I mean.

So tonight was far from what Lukas had ever wanted to experience.

He wanted to go to a Halloween party with his schoolmates and play games or chat.
