I get up and get Cadmus and Ellie read for today

Sirius is coming by to watch the kids even though Molly said she will be here too

Both know the girls well but never get to spend time with Cadmus he didn't speak to anyone other than me really at the wedding

Him and Fred still have hardly spoken it's worrisome but I can not rush healing

I have to be less of a controlling person

All the kids are sitting and eating and Cadmus looks at the girls as they eat their food and he walks to me "what are you eating"

"I usually just drink coffee in the morning and run off to work" he looks upset but opens the fridge door

This is a big deal. I had been trying to get him to feel like this was his home and he could grab food when he wanted

But this was the first time he's opened the fridge or even looked inside

He looks confused

"I don't know what any of this is"

I walk over to him

"What food do you like?"

He looks stumped

"Crisps"

Not much a breakfast food but come on Asteria think

You were a child that grew up with an abusive and neglectful parent remember what you would eat with Leon and Salina in the house now think

Wait no no yeah my eggs never fail i got four great kids but I mean cooking why is my inner voice so dirty minded

"Have you had eggs before?" He looks over and shakes his head "I'll make em extra cheesy and put some black pudding with it"

I'll do a fried egg and some beans maybe oh and black pudding would he like tomatoes and I'll put cheese with this oh maybe sausage no bacon I know Fred likes mushrooms with his would Cadmus I should do sliced avocado and potato wedges as well

I might have gone overboard figuring out Cadmus favorite food

But he didn't like the mushrooms Emily stole those from him those as well as the tomato

When Fred came downstairs he stole the mushrooms off Emily. Cadmus watched him do this and looked either confused or upset I couldn't tell it was unreadable and gone in a flash

But he liked the bloody pudding and the avocado he ate the potato wedges and didn't seem to be a fan of the fried egg but he ate one and Rosalina ate the other

And he was crazy about the bacon he let Ellie have a bite of the bacon though

It was sweet

Cadmus definitely got my tastebuds so thats good avocado and bloody pudding are my favorite for breakfast and Cadmus let me eat some with him even thiugh I said I was fine

"You need to eat more than coffee"

Fred laughed so I took a few bites and put toast in my mouth to appease my children

Soon after Sirius had arrived

"Grandpa Padfoot" Rosalina and Emily ran to my dad and Ellie tripped Cadmus caught her and walked her over to my father as she jumped to hug him

Cadmus took a step back and I walked over

"He's your grandfather he's my father he'll love you" Cadmus looked up at me and whispered so no one but me will hear "I don't fit"
