Over the last few weeks, Skylar have been on edge. Sure there were the occasional check ups from Lex's minions but this time it was different. It's like someone was watching her every move but she can't figure out where. Her powers were in a frenzy and its driving her crazy. Skylar couldn't take it anymore. She packed her bags and quickly drove off to Sam's house in the middle of the night.

Quick and urgent knocking broke through the casual conversation between the four women. Sam and Lena got up to answer while Kara and Alex were wondering who was outside in the heavy rain.

The couple opened the door and were shocked to find a drenched Skylar smiling awkwardly after them.

"Oh my god, Skylar. Come in. You're drenched." Sam and Lena guided her into the living room where the other two were.

Sitting down next to Kara with a sigh, Skylar gratefully accepted the towel Lena gave. The four women could tell that Skylar exhausted and was on the brink of succumbing to sleep but fought it away.

"Skylar, sweetie. What's going on?" Skylar jumped at the sudden question but calmed down when a certain blonde rubbed soothing circles on her back.

"Sorry. It's just that I feel like I'm being watched. I mean it could be some paranoia but I don't even feel safe in my own home. I can't sleep because of this incessant fear." Skylar admitted, resting her head on Kara's shoulder.

"Alright, I think its time to get some shut eye for me. Kar, you going too?" After getting a head shake from her sister, Alex got up to leave.

"Sam, do you mind if I crash here for abit? Only until this whole thing is resolved." Skylar mumbled sleepily but refusing to fall asleep. Sam nodded and got up to send Alex off.

"Hey, its okay. You're safe here. You need to rest. I'll be here if anything happens. I'll keep you safe." Kara softly mumbled into Skylar's hair.

Lena got up from her position to sit next to Skylar and started to gently run her hand through the others hair. This elicited a sigh of relief from Skylar and soon she gave in to her exhaustion.

"What do you think is going on?" Kara whispered softly to Lena.

"I figured that someone planted some spy cam in her apartment when she was out. We should go and see for ourselves." Lena whispered just as softly.

Just as they were about to continue their previous conversation, Skylar jolted awake and stood infront of the two protectively. Before they could ask what was going on, Sam walked back in. Seeing her friend so alert, she immediately jump into action.

"Skylar, you okay?" Sam asked as she cupped the brunette's cheek. The touch seemed to break her out of her reverie and she looked around confused.

"Okay, I think its time for you to go to bed Skylar." Sensing the inner turmoil, Kara swiftly guided her to the spare guest room while Lena followed them up after grabbing her bag. Sam just stood there dumbfounded by the whole situation.

When they reached the second floor, they came face to face with a very angry Ruby. Her face softened when she saw her favourite aunt drenched and exhausted. Ruby gave her a slight hug before Kara continues their journey to the bedroom.

"Ruby, what are you doing up? I thought you already slept." Lena said while affectionately rubbing the girls head and placing a tender kiss.

"I have something to tell you." Ruby replied nervously. Lena's eyes lit up at that.

"Let me just place Skylar's bag in her room and I'll meet you in your bedroom for our talk. I also have something important to ask you." Ruby nodded and proceeded to sit on her bed, fiddling with her thumbs.

After what felt like hours, Lena waltz into her room with a smile on her face. Ruby's heart thumped loudly in her chest. The twelve year old didn't know how to tell the CEO what she just saw.

"Okay, I know you have something to tell me but can I go first? It's something I've been thinking for awhile." Lena asked and received a hesitant nod from Ruby in return.

"Okay uhmmm, I don't know how to approach this but I know how much you mean to your mom. So, I'm asking for your permission to marry her." Lena continued smiling happily, showing a beautiful ring. Ruby swallowed nervously. She was having an internal debate if she should withhold this information or shatter the woman's dream of marrying her mother.

After a minute or two of radio silence, Lena started to worry about Ruby's response. Sure she was dating her mother but they only interacted when they see each other. Before Lena could stress any longer, Ruby unexpectedly brought her in a tight hug.

"So, when's the proposal?" Ruby asked with a watery smile and Lena smirked at that.

"So what was the thing you wanted to tell me about?"

"Oh, nothing. It doesn't really matter anymore." Hopefully. Ruby thought.

In the spare guest bedroom, Kara was helping Skylar change and tucked her into bed. Just as she was leaving, Skylar grabbed her wrist, catching her attention.

"Stay with me. Please. I don't want to be alone." Kara sighed at other's plead and ultimately laid next to Skylar who didn't think twice before wrapping her arms around the blonde.

"Where's Lena?" Skylar mumbled softly and Kara had to use her superhearing to understand her.

"Probably with Ruby. Discussing something."

"Do you think Sam would get mad if I wanted Lena here?" Skylar asked softly after a few moments of silence. Kara chuckled softly.

"I think she would be offended it wasn't her you wanted." Skylar smiled while Kara unconsciously played with strands of her hair. Skylar fiddled with her hands, not knowing what to do with the silence.

"You and Lena calm me. Miraculously. I'm starting to get confused." Kara took one of Skylar's hands and placed a gentle kiss on her palm. Her eyes instantly darting to the familiar symbol on the wrist. Seeing that made her heart soar and wrapped her arms tighter around the older girl.

Downstairs, Sam was left to her thoughts. Guilt taking over her mind. It felt so good but oh so wrong. Sighing, she looked at her phone and had received a text.

A.D~ 🥰

I know what we did was wrong.

But I feel something with you I have never felt before.

Please. Give me a chance. One date.

If it doesn't work out, we'll pretend like nothing ever happened.

Please.

Raking her hands through her hair in frustration, Sam was torn. One side of her knows that this is wrong but the other didn't care and wanted to journey through uncharted waters. After a few moments, Sam made up her mind. Just as she was putting her phone away, Lena walked in with a happy smile and sat on her girlfriend's lap.

"Come on, love. Let's go to sleep." Lena said lovingly, dragging her lover to their bedroom.
