Smiling and laughing, Skylar and Ruby entered the Arias household with little observation to their surroundings. They were oblivious to the other two adults in the house until they entered the living room. Ruby shared eye contact with her mom and she wordlessly went to her room, all the happiness seem to vanish in a snap. Skylar wanted so badly to comfort her but she needed to have a word with both Sam and Alex. Turning her attention to them, Skylar silently sat across from them and poured herself and drink.

"Since it's just us here, care to explain how this happened?" Skylar started, making the two sigh softly.

"Look, it just happened okay, we realised our feelings for each other and decided to act on it." Alex grumbled out while Sam was silent. Skylar raised an eyebrow at this.

"Sam, tell me what changed. You were so in love with Lena before all this. What happened?" Skylar asked softly, looking into her friends eyes.

"Nothing changed except her feelings for that Luthor. She's better off without her." Alex intervened which earned a harsh glare from Skylar.

"You know what, get the fuck out." Skylar all but dragged Alex by the collar and locked her outside the house. When she came back to the livingroom, Sam was still staring blankly at the wall. Skylar crouched down and searched her eyes for any signs of emotion. Her mind frenzied in worry seeing her friend so robotic and void of emotion like this.

"Sam? Sam, can you hear me?" She gently cupped her cheek and tilted her head upwards, thee lack of response scared her. She quickly got up and dialed Lena, hoping the Luthor would have answers. Just as Lena picked up the call, Skylar landed on the floor with a thud. Smirking down on the body, Sam quickly tied her up, gagging her too, and hid her in a spare closet. Her ears picked up the panicked voice through the phone and she wordlessly ended the call. Making her way upstairs, Sam knocked softly on Ruby's door and entered.

"Rubes, I'm going out for awhile so you're going to your friend's house for now. Skylar had an emergency to get to so she left in a hurry." Sam said as her daughter began to pack her bags. She was about to walk out but Ruby spoke up.

"Why did you do it, mom? We were happy, perfect even. Why did you have to destroy it for your own selfish reason." Ruby spat and began to walk downstairs, tears beginning to fall from her face. Sam, whose face was void of emotion this whole time, began to feel her chest tighten. Knwoingbwhat was going in, she quickly closed her eyes and focused locking her out. She couldn't let her out, not when there's a whole Kryptonian to kill. Entering the car, Sam turned to Alex who looked at her with a smirk.

"Got rid of them?" Sam merely nodded and they were soon on their way.

Now, you might be wondering how the actuak freak did Sam and Alex become how they are now? Well, let's go back to the start shall we? Or better known as the start of Sam's unfaithfulness.

Flashback a few weeks prior

It was a few days after the whole lead poisoning situation and Sam couldn't concentrate on her work. She would hear whispers in a language unknown to her and she would find herself in places she didn't even remember going. Worried, Sam made quick work to call Alex and visit her at the DEO lab. She didn't want Lena and Ruby to worry about this if its just a normal symptom of some sickness. Receiving a very distraught phonecall, Alex got ready her lab for some checkups to do on Sam when she arrived.

When Sam arrived, Alex quickly ushered her to sit down on the bed and did some mandatory check ups. Once everything was done, they just had to wait for a few minutes for the results.

"Sam, what's going on? Should I be worried?" Alex came up to her and comfortingly rubbed her hand.

"Something's happening to me. I just don't know what." Sam replied, her voice quiet and rubbed her arm timidly, scared of her ownself.

Alex looked at her with worry and concern. Never in her life has she seen Sam Arias this vulnerable. She was so small. A light ding indicated that the results were done and to say the results were shocking would be an understatement.

The results left Alex bewildered. How could Sam have this, unknowingly, in her blood? Does Sam even know about this?

Seeing the confused look on Alex's face, Sam can't help but look over the other's shoulder to see the results. Her eyes widened when she saw 'Kryptonian Blood Detected' in bold on the paper.

She is a kryptonian? How? All her life she has been living here on Earth. She has absolutely no recollection of being on Krypton or anything alien-like in general.

Without thinking, Alex pulled out Kara's charts and compared it to Sam's. The difference between the two were magnifying. It was like Sam's blood is ten times more stronger than Kara's.

"I think this is reason enough to have a chat with my mom." Sam said, stunned from the revelation that she may be Kryptonian.

"I'm taking you." Nodding, Alex offered to which Sam was quick to turn down.

"Alex-" Sam started but the other cut her off.

"You need someone to be there for emotional support. What if the answers you got from your mom isn't enough? I'm going with you whether you like it or not. Plus, shouldn't Lena know about this? She's your girlfriend."

"No, Lena can't know about this until I'm absolutely sure I'm not dangerous or a threat to humanity." Sam shook her head, firm in her decision, before walking out of the room.

"This is such a stupid idea." Sighing, Alex muttered under her breath and followed after the older Arias.
