Having my lunch, I returned to his room to find my medicine box and I heard a knock on my door, resulting in my eyes shifting.

"May I come in?" Vihaan Bhai asked, waiting at the door.

"Yeah Vihaan Bhai, you don't need to ask for permission," I said, asking him to have a seat on the couch placed in the room.

Following his instructions to have my medicines first, I swallowed two tablets and one capsule with the help of water and returned to join him as we were meeting after a long period.

"How is Mom and Dad?" I asked.

"Fit and fine. Well, Mom has sent something for you. Remind me before I leave for Jaipur the day after tomorrow" He informed me but I was surprised to find he was leaving early.

"This isn't fair. You should stay here for a week Bhai" I complained, staring at him.

"I can't compromise with my professional commitments also your Bhabhi needs me to handle Ziva and Ziya" He explained but I wasn't happy hearing the news.

For no reason, my mind observed a strange expression on his face, perhaps waiting for the right time to convey but he wasn't able to figure out how to begin it.

"Do you want to say anything?" I managed to ask finally but his jaw dropped proving my observation wasn't wrong.

"Yeah. I won't blabber instead will try to stick to the main point" He said but a shiver curled at the nape of my neck, praying he shouldn't bring up the topic of the changes his best friend adapted as I noticed Vihaan Bhai being muzzled once he returned from his room before lunch.

"I -" Taking a pause, I let my lungs fill with oxygen inhaling, deeply relaxing myself or to be precise preparing myself to face the upcoming interrogation session by my brother.

"I didn't understand" I ended my answer.

"Is it true Garv changed himself just for your love?" He shot his words that I have tried avoiding since his presence marked in the room.

Since childhood, I have been known for speaking facts and not sugarcoating my words no matter how bitter they are for one to hear but today I am in a dilemma to choose one from two different alternatives, one - I should be honest in answering his words, definitely causing him a state of shock and two - to hide the truth behind the curtains of my false words to not let him disappointed.

Unfortunately, I will choose option one because breaking his trust wouldn't let me survive peacefully for the rest of my life. I can't lie to my brother who made sure to give his love and care to all three sisters despite the fact that we aren't blood related.

"Avantika, can you hear me?" His question pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Yeah," I nodded.

"Is it true Garv has changed himself and the reason is your love?" I sensed a pain reflected in his words framing questions to know my answer.
