I watched him unbutton his shirt one by one and placed it on the side table.
Wrapping his arms around my waist, he started speaking "I love you, Avantika." His forehead brushed against mine "You're the lyric of every song I have ever penned down. The most beautiful melody I have ever heard in your voice. No camera lens can ever capture me the way I mirror myself in your eyes. Your presence is the most comfortable home I've ever known where I stay safe, where I stay as myself around you"
Pressing his lips on my forehead, "I love you too, Garv" I said, placing my hand on his nape, drawing him closer, feeling the serene closeness tying us.
"Can I?" He whispered, closing his eyes.
"Yes," I replied, my fingers curling on his shoulders.
"Wait," My interruptive words swiftly opened his eyes, and a sense of shock flowed through them.
"Let me blush for a second" I buried my face in his neck, partially covering it with one hand.
"Ava, aap bhi na." He chuckled, noticing the bizarre reaction of his wife, his fingers running through my hair.
I lifted my eyes, noticing him silencing his words but his eyes managed to communicate several hidden feelings in that intimate moment. His lips managed to pass through the distance meeting mine.
I found myself lying down on the bed without breaking the inseparable connection at that moment.
His hand managed to reach the switchboard to turn off the lights but the dance of the curtains coordinated with the rhythmic beats of wind, permitted the moonlight to escape through it, casting a soft glow over us.
Sensing his lips on my neck, my fingers involuntarily fisted around his neck but I breathed heavily beneath his gaze on my face.
"Where's my dominating Ava?" He kissed my cheek, whispering. "Your bangles and anklets" He grinned and shook his head.
"Jaan-e-mann, don't try to act smart," I said, jangling my bangles near his ear.
"I can even act like a fool to be with you, all the time" He looked away, to take control of the crimson shade on his cheeks.
I eyed him moving away without providing a reason and swiftly grabbed me in his arms. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"Wait a minute" He walked, approaching a table placed in one of the corners of the room. Making me sit on it, I was puzzled watching the sudden shift from bed to here.
