"Garv uth"

(Wakeup, Garv)

"Uth Kumbh Karan"

(Wakeup Kumbhkaran)

"Wakeup Garv, yeha kon sota hai?"

(Who sleeps over here?)

The chorus of familiar voices passed through my ear, attempting to break my untroubled sleep. Denying to follow their orders, I turned to sleep on the opposite side but my actions halted and I came across a kid sleeping beside me.

When I opened my eyes, my blurry sight found my nephew Shivansh sleeping, hugging a pillow, his face nestling. Fondling his hair gently, I redirected to my right side.

"Good morning Dhruv" I greeted, taking a yawn. "Good morning saalesahab," I said, stretching my arms to wrap my best friend in a hug.

"Good morning" They grinned jointly, reciprocating the hug. "I'm sorry, Vihaan" I exhaled a satisfactory breath "I am sorry. For hurting you"

"It's okay." His hand gently patted my back. "I never had an intention to hurt you that night." I continued speaking, peeking at Dhruv stepping back and a serene smile lingered on his lips.

"Okay. Apology accepted. But wear your shirt." His words brought sudden attention to me. Detaching the hug, I fumbled for my shirt stuffed beneath the pillow and witnessed their bellow of laughter at my disheveled state.

Taking a shower in hot water, I put on my white kurta and made my mind to meet my wife. Slipping my feet into the shoes, and rechecking my hair in the mirror, I stepped out of the room shoving my phone inside.

"Devarsa, kya baat hai. Ready bhi ho gaye" Mehar Bhabisa's words welcomed my presence in the dining area but my eyes wandered to find my wife.

(What's going on? You're already ready)

(Devarsa- husband's younger brother)

Taking my phone out of my pocket, my thumb unlocked it and reached the chat section. Tapping on her name, the last message by her asking me to sleep last night displayed on the screen.

Paying the least attention to the words exchanged by my family, I stared and decided to send her a text asking her whereabouts.

"Texting Avantika?" Sanjana Jija asked, chuckling at my preoccupied urgent work.

"Ha.. Na... I'm texting Mihika" I lied.

"Sir, I'm right in front of you" My secretary giggled, giving me a reality check.
