Mumbai- the city of dreams.

The city that stays awake even during the night.

It has been more than five years but every time I set foot here, it feels fresh to be back to the place that returned the fruits of toiling for nearly twenty months.

I recalled the early days of hardships when I avoided asking Papa for money. Instead, I used to approach Dhruv or Vihaan, promising them to return with fair interest once I became financially stable but every time I brought up the topic or handed over the money, all I got to hear was - koi aur hota toh le lete par tu toh apna hai.

"Garv, is everything okay?" My wife asked, her hands busy fixing the claw clip before we headed towards the exit gate.

"Nothing. Just recalling the early struggling phase." I smiled wrapping my arm around her shoulder but hurriedly detached it, noticing my parents approaching in our direction.

"Beta, how many cars have you called to the airport?" Papa inquired, glancing at the time on his wristwatch.

"One for us and another one will be for Hriday and Mihika, which will be brought by the bodyguards" I replied, making our way to Gate No. 5.

"Do one thing. Let Mihika and one of the bodyguards join you while the rest of us will take the second car." He suggested, walking beside me while Mumma and Avantika walked together, following us.

"Any reason?" I narrowed my eyes, texting Hriday to find out the cars' status.

"You're newly married. You should spend most of your time with her."

"Papa ye aap hi ho na? Itna pyaar se samjha rahe ho" I inquired, unable to believe his words but received a stern look from him.

(Papa, is it really you? You're explaining things so lovingly.)

"Okay, jesa aap kahe" I conceded when we were inundated by a chorus of congratulatory voices from my relatives aka the paparazzi.

(As you say)

"Garv sir, congratulations"

"Bhabhiji, kya pyaari lag rahi thi, dekhe hamne aapke photo social media par"
