Surprisingly, Yvonne's advice was fairly solid, because after spending a night wallowing just a bit about feeling betrayed, Juliette truly did feel like she could get back on the horse... And by horse she meant Esme...
Maybe not horse, that didn't sound flattering... She felt ready to get back on her hot partner... Too clear.
Now, she wanted to do this right, and doing it right meant a lot of fucking planning and work because she knew she had to make it special... And it meant tapping into Emma's offer that they'd given her a million times to buy her things throughout their friendship. Were they happy that it was lingerie and candles to seduce their basically sibling? No, not even a little, but he was still very helpful. Now all she had to do was not mess it up. That meant no lighting her hair on fire, no knocking a lit candle over, and not tripping over herself to position herself on the bed before Esme came in.
A hard task for her? Sure, but she was doing it perfectly so far... And she was also realizing how long it took to light thirty fucking candles around a room, and she didn't like thinking about the chore of putting them all out later, but Esme was worth it.
Once the last candle was lit, she gave herself a once over in the mirror, letting out a deep breath as she ran her hand through her hair, smoothing it down her body, smiling at the way that the flowy piece she'd picked hid that her stomach was a bit looser than she wanted it to be. Esme wouldn't care either way, she knew that, but she cared.
She wanted to look good for them, which meant looking good in her own eyes.
Just as she was giving herself the last once over, she saw the doorknob start to turn, and her heart leapt into her throat as she stumbled back onto the bed, grimacing... Well, she only fucked up one thing, and so long as Esme didn't see it, she was still doing fine. That was what mattered.
She adjusted herself near the top of the bed, laying on her side, trying her hardest to look sexy and not nervous... But she knew it didn't work. Esme made her nervous in the best way, she couldn't just turn that off around them, it wouldn't work.
They pulled the door open, eyes widening when their eyes settled on her, the hello seeming to stop in their throat.
She smiled, hoping that it covered the fact that her heart was pounding... What if they didn't want her... That could happen.
Breathe... Breathe... Breathe...
"Welcome home." She cringed at herself, but didn't move, not wanting to ruin her position even as she wanted to kick herself... That wasn't sexy, that sounded like a nagging housewife, and there was no way... They wouldn't like that, right?
Esme paused, surprise on their face as they slowly closed the door behind them, taking in the candles, the playlist, and then their eyes fell on hers, widening a bit as they visibly swallowed, their bag sliding to the ground as they let their eyes trace over her body in a way that made goosebumps raise on her arms.
"This... Hi... What..." They cleared their throat, looking adorably nervous as they scratched the back of their neck, walking a little closer. "What is this?" They asked, their voice cracking over the words as she sat up a bit, forcing her heart to slow down... They'd had sex before, this didn't need to be this nerve-wracking, it wasn't like it was new.
She tried to steady herself, taking a deep breath.
"I... Miss you. And I know I said we could wait, and we technically did... But..." She shrugged, feeling her confidence die a bit as she settled back on her heels, fidgeting with her hands... She didn't want to pressure them, maybe she should've cleared this with them before making a command decision. Maybe a surprise was the wrong move. "I don't want to go another day without feeling your hands on me again." She mumbled, hearing a strangled sound leave Esme's lips as she looked up, seeing their face flush red as a smile pulled at the corners of their lips, hands trembling as they ran through their hair.
