Ever since everything had started to escalate with Ethan, Juliette had struggled to get a full night of sleep in, and it was finally starting to take its toll - she was pretty sure that she had never had this bad of a headache in her entire life.
And it was making math unbearable, which was something she normally had a problem with if they were doing too many things at once anyway, but today was special. Everything, down to the scratching of other people's pencils was horrible.
She needed something for her head, and she needed it now. She sighed, standing up to walk towards the desk before she felt someone's hand on her arm. Damn it... Befriending Khloe past just being her table mate in class was a mistake, she could've been already up to the desk if she hadn't.
"Where are you going?" Khloe asked, her nails digging into her arm a little bit. Juliette grimaced, turning around with one eye open as she tried to ignore the throbbing in her brain... She wasn't sure why Khloe was so worried about her, it wasn't as if they'd ever talked about what had happened with Ethan, she had no reason to be afraid.
She did, however, have a reason to let go of her.
"To get some Tylenol." She shook her arm gently, but Khloe didn't get the hint, her soft, worried eyes never leaving Juliette's. Too much eye contact. I hate it here. "Release me, please." She said, her voice coming out soft because she didn't want to attract any attention.
Khloe frowned, her brows furrowing deeply as she leaned forward, her textbook long forgotten on the desk.
"Are you sure you wanna go alone?" She asked, and Juliette scoffed, shaking her head as she looked down at her. There was no danger in going to get Tylenol from the nurse, there was nothing that Khloe needed to be worried about right now. She'd get the pills, come back to class, and sit back down.
Easy as that as long as she could go.
"What, like I'm gonna get jumped in the hallway?" Her expression didn't shift for a second... That was what she was worried about. Juliette leaned down, leveling her gaze with Khloe's. "I really doubt I'm getting jumped in the hallway, Khloe... How do you even know about this?" She asked, wanting to know where the leak in information was coming from so that she could plug it up - she didn't need everyone worrying about her, that was just going to make dealing with everything a lot harder.
Khloe sighed, letting her hand slump off Juliette's arm as she slid down in her seat a bit, her arms crossed across her chest.
"Peyton and Ingrid told me everything that's been going on at rehearsal and that's, like, so fucking terrible... He's literally such a little rat." She said, and Juliette snorted, nodding... She hated that people were learning shit about her without her being able to control the outflow of information, but at least she was getting to hear people's unfiltered opinions about how badly Ethan sucked.
That brightened her day a bit.
"I don't disagree with that." She went to walk away, only to feel Khloe catch her arm again. Damn you. "Now let me go, I've got a pounding headache." She insisted, and Khloe frowned, looking skeptical as she let go again.
"Okay..." That made it sound like Khloe was worried that the second that she left the damn classroom she was going to die or something, which to her knowledge wasn't really something she had to be worried about...
But in this fucking school, who knew?
Be positive.
"Don't look so scared, you're freaking me out." She said, and Khloe frowned, sitting back up and leaning across the table, putting her hand on one side of her mouth like that was going to do any good to quiet down her speaking... She'd never been the best at whispering.
