The initial shock and panic that Juliette had been feeling had mostly worn off over the last few days, save for the few times that she woke in a feeling of cold sweat practically clawing at her throat to get some breath into her... It was nice, she'd settled into a routine that for the most part minimized any contact with Ethan unless they were in the same class which she couldn't help.

There was just one part of her day that she couldn't stand, and that was when she had to go down the same hallway that everything had happened in, but it wasn't like she could just avoid it.  She had class down there, it was the quickest route, and to get from one side of the school to the other without being late, there was no real way to avoid it.  So she'd taken to making sure that she took it during the busiest time of the day to ensure that she was never alone in it... Or at least she tried to.  Today wasn't working out that way, time was working against her.

And so were people, because Jackson caught her arm and pulled her back before she could get down the hallway, a smile on his face that was equal parts genuine and almost... Guilty.  Or maybe she was reading too much into it.  What reason would Jackson have to be guilty.

Either way, he had to let go of her.

She shook his hand off, which made him let go but did not deter him from speaking and stopping her escape path.

Dickass.  Let me past you.

"Jules!  Hey, I had a question-." She cut him off, shaking her head.  Whatever question that he had could wait until she was not dealing with this bullshit, she needed to stick with her routine right now, that was the only way to handle this.

"That's great, but I really gotta get to class right now." He didn't move, and she let out a heavy sigh... She wasn't above kicking him so that he was off balance and would scoot out f her way.  She didn't want to, because Jackson had never really done anything wrong to her, but she would do it. "Jackson, I'm running late." She insisted, trying to keep her tone gentle as he rocked back on his heels.

"It's super quick, I promise." She let out a sigh.

Damn.

She had to let him, that was the only way to appease him... Plus, he did seem like it might actually be urgent, and now she was morbidly curious what he might mean by it, even if it was slowing her down.

"Fine, but make it super quick." She insisted, seeing his eyes light up as he clasped his hands together.

You have less than a minute, hurry it up.

"I'm running to get some coffee before rehearsal tonight; do you want anything?" She knew her face was giving her frustration away, but that wasn't enough.  She needed to smack his head into the lockers for that.  She wouldn't, but the need was there, especially when she saw how shocked he looked. "What?" He asked, and she groaned, covering her face with her hands for a moment before she pulled them away, shaking her head.

No fucking way he'd stopped her for that.  What the hell was the point of doing that?  All it had done was inconvenience the shit out of her.

"That's your urgent question?  If I want some coffee?" She asked, hoping that her frustrated tone showed through with what she was saying, and from the sheepish way that Jackson scuffed his shoe on the ground and shrugged, it was.

He didn't need to pull her aside to ask her about coffee.  There was no way in hell that that couldn't have waited until later.

"Well, it seemed urgent to me-." She cut him off, shaking her head.
