The opening for the hotel is tomorrow, my parents couldn't make it. I was hoping to see them.

Mia is still recovering, so it's good they didn't come. I'm just feeling a bit home sick. Two more days, and I'll be out of here.

Nicholas kept his distance, but he's been sending me roses and letters every day. My house is filled with roses now. I find it very sweet of him.

The letters make me want to cry.

Dear Emily

Words can't express how sorry I am for breaking your trust. It hurts me seeing the pain I caused you, and I deeply regret it. I know I need to earn it back, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

Every moment apart feels like a punishment, and honestly, the only thing I want is to be with you.

Knowing I broke your trust makes the distance even harder to bear.

I understand if it takes time, but I hope you can believe that I'm truly sorry and committed to earning your trust again.

                                     Nicholas

I told Elena what Natalie did, and she lost it. I made her promise not to tell Nicholas.

I was getting ready to go, I need to look gorgeous for the opening. I've been looking for a perfect dress for three days now. I hope I find it.

Nicholas POV

"Do you think I've lost her forever Elena?" I said taking another shot of Azul.

"Nicholas, you need to stop drinking. It's been how many weeks. Everyday you come back home just to drink and mope around. "She said taking the Azul and shot glass.

"Emily not taking to me is driving me crazy." I said putting my head in my head. "I've sent her roses and apology letters, letting her know how sorry I am. But still not a single word from her."

"How do you think Emily would feel if she saw you in this state. She just wants space, Nick. She didn't say she never wants to see you again. Or whatever that's going on between you is done."

"I know I know, it's just hard not being able to talk to her the way I use to. We only talk about work, she's so cold to me Elena."

"You need to wait until she's ready, just give her time I'm sure she'll talk to you." She said placing her hand on my shoulder. .

"I'm such an idiot."

"That you are brother."

"The opening is tomorrow, at least I'll see her, but she's leaving soon."

"Nicholas, don't bother her keep it strictly business."

"I know, she said she wants space and I'm giving her space."

"Good, let her come to you."

End of POV

I tried on a few dresses, and none of them had what I wanted. I kept walking around, and finally saw the most beautiful dress.

I had to put it on.

I slip into this dress and wow, I feel amazing! It's strapless, a royal blue that practically glows.

It hugs my curves perfectly through the bodice, then swishes out into a beautiful mermaid skirt that pools at my feet.

I looked into the mirror turning around and posing.
