It's the day after Zane was kicked out of the shadow nights. It's my normal walk to school until I reach the Ro'meave house to see him waiting for me. He's back.

"Morning (Y/N)!" He chimes from the gate.

"Morning Zane!" I chime back. Excited to have my friend back. I run up and hug him. "I missed you!" I agonise. He hugs me back.

"I missed you too." He replies. We let go and begin the walk to school. "Today is going to be a good day!" He rejoices.

We get to school and sit under the tree. Katelyn comes over.

"Hey, (Y/N)! Zane..." She greets. "I didn't know you two were friends again." She adds.

"It's a recent thing." I announce. Zane nods.

"I see. Well, It's nice to see you back with (Y/N), Zane! She's really missed you." She tells him, almost suspicious of him. She then walks closer to him and whispers menacingly to him. I couldn't hear what she said. She then walks away, glaring at Zane.

"Hehe, I see you've grown close to Katelyn." Zane observes. Unfazed by whatever she had to say.

"Yeah, Lucinda's got a boyfriend, so I haven't been hanging out with her as much." I explain.

"Is it that guy that she was with on orientation? The one from her summer camp?" He inquires.

"Yeah, It's Ivan!" I confirm. *Bring Bring* It's time for homeroom. We walk in together. I become puzzled as to whether to sit with Zane or the girls. He sees this.

"I don't mind where you sit..." He mentions, then sits in his seat. I decide to sit next to him. I can feel the looks of the girls in the back of my head. They know how we lost touch and now they must be confused, utterly confused. Hopefully Katelyn will explain it to them.

"So, how was your time with the shadow nights?" I ask.

"I-it was terrible really. They never accepted me, constantly telling me to get lost or go elsewhere." He explains.

"Oh, they really do sound terrible." I comment.

"Yeah, I'm better off without them anyway..." He agrees.

*Bring Bring* It's time for class.

"See you later (Y/N)!" Zane farewells as he heads off. I have witchcraft, I pack up then go to the girls.

"I see your friends with Zane again?" Aph asks.

"Yeah, he still feels a little off though." I observe. Everyone gives me a look.

"Kawaii~Chan wants (Y/N)~Chan to be careful. Ok?" Kawaii~Chan assures.

"Thanks Kawaii~Chan, I will." I nod then Aphmau takes my hand, and we walk to witchcraft class.

"(Y/N). I know you used to be friends with Zane, but now he's been caught up with the shadow nights, are you sure you can trust him?" She speculates.

"I don't know Aph, but I'm choosing to believe that we can be friends again no matter the path he chooses." I share.

"You're too loyal sometimes (Y/N)." Aphmau comments. We reach witchcraft and sit down next to Lucinda and Ivan. We quickly get absorbed into the lesson.
