*Beep Beep Beep* Day 2 let's go!!! if I get up and get ready, surprisingly excited for school. I can't wait to talk to Zane more... maybe I can have lunch with him today... I run down the stairs inhale my breakfast, brush my teeth and lastly put my shoes on.
"I'm ready" I yell into the house from the door at my hidden Mum.
"Wow that was super-fast today darling, why the rush?" My Mum asks.
"Just excited to see my new friend and Laurence again today!"
"That's wonderful darling! You know the way now, right? How about you walk to school today, I'm a bit behind and I don't want you waiting when you're so excited." She suggests, poking her head out from the stairs.
"Ok, bye Mum love you, see you this afternoon!" I exit the house and begin the walk down the street. When I get to Zane's house I decide to wait, might as well walk with him to school. He shouldn't mind. About 5 minutes later a blonde boy walks out the door.
"Bye, Gargar" I can hear his Mum inside "Now hurry up Zuzu! Your brothers waiting. You too Little Pea your Bus will be here soon!"
"Bye, Mummy!" I hear the blonde respond. This must be Garroth... Oh no... should I hide. What do I do. Luckily he just stands outside the door waiting for... Zuzu... WAIT IS THAT ZANE?!?!? HAHAHAHAHA. Zane steps out of the house.
"Bye boys I love you, enjoy your day!" I hear their Mum chime again. She seems sweet.
"I love you Mummy, Bye!" Comes from the blonde while a
"Bye Mum" Comes from Zane
They turn around Zane obviously is trying to avoid Garroth so he looks at the ground and doesn't respond when he tries to talk to him. Zane looks up. Sees me by the gate. His eyes widen. He runs. He grabs my wrist.
"LET'S GO BEFORE GARROTH STARTS TEASING ME" He yells. We proceed to run the whole way to school (even though he's not fast... at all).

We reach the gate and he's panting.
"Why did you wait for me? (pant) Garroth saw you now..." he complains, panting.
"Well, I just thought it would be fun to walk with you. We are friends..." I reason he looks at me with his face red from running.
"So that's something friends do then?" He asks genuinely wondering.
"Y-yeah, well if they live nearby they do... but we don't have to if you don't want to" I suggest.
"N-No I would enjoy that... uhh... sorry... I just wasn't expecting you to be there... and Garroth-" I cut him off.
"It's ok, I should have probably warned you, sorry." I apologise.
"No, I... oh well its fine if Garroth knows were friends, he would learn eventually, especially with you being friends with Laurence. I'll just prepare myself for this afternoon." He finished we stood there in silence for another minute while I waited for him to finish catching his breath.
"So where do you want to sit while we wait for the doors to open?" I begin.
"How about over there?" he points to an empty tree.
"Sounds perfect!" We go over to the tree and sit down.
"So, your mum calls you Zuzu?" I inquire.
"AH! You weren't supposed to hear that! We all have dumb nicknames! It's just how she works." Zane becomes flustered and looks away. I giggle.
