Chapter twenty six:

Aaliyah's pov:

It is already 12:30pm. For the last 30 minutes we have been at the karting track. At first lando and Mattheo shared a kart until Mattheo was more comfortable and more confident in controlling the kart.I have been watching for most of it until Lando stops in the pits and gets out of the kart. "You should have a go" he says as he takes his helmet off. "Ok, I will just go and get a suit" I reply and quickly walk to the rack with all the suits on. Once I have one on, I walk back towards the pits and see that Lando is talking to one of the workers. As if he knew I was there, he turned around and flashed me his pearly white teeth. "Are you ready" he asks. "Yeh I guess I am" I reply. Lando walks closer to me and places a helmet onto my head. "Now you are ready" he says as he leads me to a kart. I sit down in it and then try to get comfortable in the seat. I look up and see a flash. Lando is taking pictures. After he was done,I begin to enter the track. I believe Lando followed me out because as I was entering the first corner, a kart overtook me. I look to my right and see my belief was correct.

After another 30 minutes on track it was time to leave. I have had so much fun and I believe Mattheo did too. As we walk out of the building, he hasn't stopped talking about it. I think this will be a weekly occurrence because he enjoyed it so much. "Can we come next week mamma?" Mattheo asks as he looks up at me and gives me puppy dog eyes. He opens his eyes a little wide, raises his eyebrows, and stick his bottom lip out, while tilting his entire head slightly downward and looking upwards at the me. "Ok baby" I reply. I can never say no to him when he does that.He just look so cute. "Where do u want to go now?" Lando asks. I get my phone out of my pocket and check the time. It's 1:30pm so we only have an hour and thirty minutes before our plane leaves. " I think it's best if we went home because we have just over an hour before the plane leaves." I reply. "Ok. Do you want me to drop you off at the airport?" Lando says. "I don't want to be an inconvenience. You also have a flight to catch" I respond. "Your not an inconvenience, I will take you" he says as he unlocks his car and then opens both the passenger and the back passenger door. He picks Mattheo up, buckles him into the car seat and then closes the door. I get into the passenger seat and then lando closes the door behind me.

We have just arrived at my apartment. As I was packing the last few things, Lando took the suitcase to his car. "Mamma can I take this too?" Mattheo asks. I look up and see what his was holding. It was his MCL60 and MCL38. They are his favourite cars to play with so I nod in response. "All of the suitcases are in the car"lando says as he walks into Matthias room. "Ok Thankyou. I have just finished packing Matthias carry on bag so I think I am ready to go" I say as I zipped up Mattheo's Disney cars backpack. I grab mine and Mattheo's backpack and then walk to my door and lock it. Whilst we are walking down the stairs towards the garage, Mattheo is telling lando about karting. "It was so cool! I really want to go again when we get back home!" Mattheo says. "Yes it is very cool. If it's ok with your mom I will take you to a good track where I first started in the uk." Lando says. "Can I mamma? I really want to!" Mattheo asks me. "Of course baby" I reply. "yay!!" Mattheo says as he does a little happy dance at my response.
