Chapter thirty two:

Aaliyah's Pov:

"Mattheo where are you baby" I say as soon as I walk into my parents house. I close the door and quickly put my coat and bag on to the hook.I hear little footsteps coming towards me, I turn around as see Mattheo sprinting my way. I lean down and then wrap my arms around his small body. As soon as he is in my arms he rests his head on my shoulder and silently cries. "Shhh it's ok baby mamma has got you, do you want some medicine?" I say as I comfort him. "Yes please mamma" he says between sniffles. I walk to the kitchen, open the cabinet and reach for the medicine.

I gave him some medicine and then decide to go to my room so he can get some sleep. As we were lying in bed, my phone began to buzz. I grab my phone, unlock it and see my notifications. It's a message.

LAN🧡: hey darling, how is your day so far? x

AALIYAH: hey lan, it's good. Mattheo is sick so I am just looking after him right now x

LAN🧡: is he ok? Does he need anything? What's wrong with him? x

AALIYAH: he will be ok, he has a bad belly. Enough about us, how was your day? x

LAN🧡: my day was ok, a little boring but it's better now x

LAN🧡: are you sure he is ok? Are you ok? I can only imagine how worried you are about him x

AALIYAH: Yh he will be ok, he has already had some medicine and he is just asking for belly rubs because Mattheo says it makes it feel better. x

AALIYAH: I am good, I am worried about him but it's a mother's job I think. To worry and care for your child even if it is just a stomach bug. x

LAN🧡: if you need anything just let me know x

AALIYAH: thankyou lan x

We continue messaging back and forth for a little while until I feel Mattheo begin to wake up. I set my phone down and look at Mattheo. He lifts his head off my shoulder and looks at me with a small smile on his face. "How are you feeling my love?" I say softly. "I am feeling a little better, my stomach still hurts but not as bad as it was" he says as he sits up. "Good, do you want to stay here or do you want to go downstairs and spend time with nanna and grandpa?" I ask and I also sit up. "Can we go and spend time with nanna and grandpa please" he says. "Of course let's go" I say and we both got off the bed and began walking downstairs.

Some time has passed and it's now 8pm. We watch a movie, cooked some food and played a few games. Mattheo started to feel worse when the medicine wore off but when he had some more, he was a little better. He has now fallen asleep whilst watching a movie. "I am going to put him to bed and then I am going in the shower so I will see you both tomorrow" I say to my parents as I get up from the coach. I walk to my parents and give them both a kiss on the cheek. I carefully pick Mattheo up and walk upstairs to my bedroom. I place him on one side of the bed and then put a few pillows around him so he doesn't roll off. I turn on the nightlight and turn the main light off. Once I made sure he was asleep, i place a few of my belongings back into my suitcase and then I grab my shower essentials.I walk into the bathroom, begin to get unready and then jump into the shower.

After the long hot shower, I wrap a towel around my body and brush my teeth, as well as my messy hair. I quickly braid my head into two Dutch braids and then continue with my skincare. I walk out of the bathroom and then quietly go back to my bedroom.I sigh as I look in my suitcase for something comfy to wear before finding my favourite oversized hoodie and pyjama shorts. I walk to my desk, grab a book and then walk to my bed. I carefully get in the bed, trying not to wake Mattheo up whilst I do so. As soon as I get comfy, I open my book and begin to read. I haven't read in a while. I used to love it but I just don't have time to sit there and read. As I begin to read, the real word begins to blur because I am so focus on imaging what is happening in the book.
