Chapter thirty seven:

Aaliyah's POV:

As I stepped into the McLaren Technology Centre, I couldn't believe how tidy and well-lit the room was. The sight of all the incredible cars lined up filled me with awe. The friendly atmosphere made me feel so welcome. All the workers smiled at us and then continued with what they were doing.

"Wow isn't this so cool!" Mattheo says. I nod in response because I am too mesmerised by the cars surrounding me to speak.

I turned around and saw Lando's McLaren MCL60. The Formula One car is a sleek and powerful machine, with a low profile and a vibrant colour that catches the eye. Its body is made of lightweight carbon fibre, designed to maximize speed and aerodynamics. The car features a streamlined shape, with a pointed nose and wide rear wings that generate downforce to keep it glued to the track.

The tyres are wide and grippy, ready to provide maximum traction as the car zooms around the circuit. The shiny rims add a touch of style to the overall look. The car is adorned with sponsor logos, showcasing the support it receives from various companies.

As I stand closer to the car that is by the entrance, I can see the driver's cockpit, enclosed by the halo. Inside, there's a steering wheel packed with buttons and switches, which allow the driver to control various aspects of the car's performance.

"Hey my name is Jake, I will be your tour guide, are you ready?" I hear an unfamiliar voice say. I look to my left to see a worker. I smile at him, "Nice to meet you, Jake, my name is Aaliyah and this is Mattheo. I think we are ready" I say. He smiles at me and then leads the way. Mattheo,Lando and I followed him as he began the tour.

The lobby itself is a grand entrance, with glass walls that offer a clear view of the car. It's just incredible. I can't wait to see the rest of the building.

We continue to walk around the building and it's just amazing to see all the vehicles and hear the history behind them. What truly made my heart soar was seeing Mattheo, so excited and happy. Whenever Jake told us about the cars, Mattheo asked questions. Jake was so patient with him and answered as best as he could. It was such a special moment to experience this with Mattheo, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for this amazing opportunity.

Every time I caught a glimpse of Lando, my heart skipped a beat. I've always admired his talent on the racetrack, but being here with him, and seeing his enthusiasm to show me around, made me feel butterflies in my stomach. As we were walking around, he told us lots of stories and facts about McLaren.

As we continued the tour, Lando surprised me by holding my hand. It was such a sweet gesture, and I felt an instant connection. It was like we were sharing this incredible experience, and I couldn't help but feel a deeper bond forming between us.

Out of nowhere, Lando leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on my cheek. It took me by surprise, but it was such a cute and unexpected moment. My cheeks turned bright red, and I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to me. "What was that for?" I ask. "Nothing I just felt like it" he says smiling brightly. I turn to Jake and Mattheo, I see that they have already carried on from where we were so I quickly walk to them pulling Lando along.

Throughout the tour, I was in awe of the cutting-edge technology, the impressive facilities, and the passionate people behind it all. The energy in the McLaren Technology Centre was electric, and I couldn't help but feel lucky to be a part of it.

The building is a stunning example of contemporary architecture. It boasts clean lines, sleek surfaces, and large glass panels that allow natural light to flood in. The design is minimalistic yet striking, with a perfect blend of form and function.

Inside one of the rooms we walk past, I see a group of McLaren workers. Some of the workers are engaged in conversation, Others are focused on their work, their faces illuminated by the glow of their devices.
