Simply beautiful

Chapter thirty four:

Aaliyahs pov:

We have finally arrived at the airport. It was only a 10 minutes drive but it felt longer than that. I don't know if it's because I'm excited or if it's because we got stopped at every traffic light. Probably a mixture of both.

I quickly get out of the car and walk around to help Mattheo. Once we were both out of the car, i reach out my hand for Mattheo, lock the car and then begin to walk to the entrance. Once we entered, I looked around to see if I can see Lando however I can't. I grab my back out of my pocket and then message him.

Aaliyah: hey lan, we are by the entrance x

LAN🧡: I will be there in a minute, I am just getting my bags xx

Aaliyah: ok xx

I put my phone down and then look at Mattheo to see him already looking at me. I give him a soft smile, "Lando is just getting his bags so he won't be too long" I say. "Ok mamma. Can we sit down while we wait my legs hurt?" He asks. "Ok baby." I say as we walk toward the two empty seats. "You have a beautiful son" I hear. I turn to my left and see an elderly woman sitting next to me. "Thankyou ma'am" I say with a smile on my face. I turn towards Mattheo and see him smiling at the woman. She smiles back at him "you seem very happy are you waiting for someone special?" The elderly woman asks Mattheo. "Yup we are waiting for lando! He is my best friend and I think mamma too! We haven't see him for a few days and I miss him." Mattheo says. The women smiles at him and then turns to talk to me. We talk for a little until I feel Mattheo's hand slip out of mind. I excuse myself and then follow Mattheo. "Lando!" I hear Mattheo shout as he runs as fast as he could towards lando. Lando quickly turns around and sees Mattheo running towards him. He lets out a laugh and lets go of his suitcase so he can pick Mattheo up. "Hey buddy I missed you" Lando says as he wraps his arms around Mattheo. I stand back a little to give then both a moment alone. I can't stop the smile from creeping up on my face. It's just so nice to see Mattheo so happy and open with someone. He usually doesn't like leaving my side let alone hugging people but it's different if it's lando.

Lando looks so good as always. He is wearing an Eric Emmanuel basic hoodie in black with matching black tracksuit bottoms.

"What are you doing, come here" I hear lando say. As soon as I am close enough, Lando pulls me into the hug. I rest my head on his shoulder, wrap my arms around him and let out a sign of relief. I have missed this. Lando rests his head on top of mine and squeezes me tighter. We stay like this for a while. Just the three of us in our own world, standing in the airport and not saying a word so we can savour this moment.

I am brought out of my daydreaming when I feel soft lips on my forehead. I look up and see Lando already looking at me. My smile widens as I look at him. "Hi Liyah" Lando whispers. "Hey lan" I whisper back. "I missed you" he says. "I missed you too" I say as I lean up and give him a quick peck on his cheek. After a few more seconds, we pull away from each other. "Lando I have some much to tell you!" Mattheo says with a huge smile on his face. "I can't wait to hear everything you have to say" lando says as he adjusts Mattheo so he can hold him on his hip. He turns around grabs the handle of his suitcase and then turn back to me. "Are you ready to go?" Lando asks. I nods in response and then we walk toward the exit.

As we were walking back to the car, Mattheo doesn't stop talking about what has happened since we got here. "When we first got here we had to go to a hotel but the next day we went to my grandparents house and it's so fun there. You are gonna love it,
we get to play with my cars all day. I also love spending time with my grandparents the are so cool. I think they are going to love you. We even had a movie and game night a few days ago, it was the best! We didn't watch cars, we watched turbo! It was so interesting have you watched it?" Before lando could respond Mattheo continues on his rant. " I wasn't very well yesterday, whilst mamma was out with her friends, my tummy began to hurt. When she got back, mamma gave me medicine and tummy rubs and i felt better after that." Once he finished talking, he takes a deep breath which me and lando laugh at. "I am glad you feel better. I hope your grandparents like me, they sound so fun" Lando says.

When we are next to my car, I unlock it and then take Mattheo out of Lando's arms so I can place him in his car seat. Once I know he is safely buckled in, I close the door and then go to help Lando with his bags. I didn't even get to do anything because as soon as I close the door, I am pulled into yet another hug. I rest my head on his chest and wrap my arms around his waist. "What is this for?" I ask. "I just missed you." He says as he pulls away a little. He rests one of his hands on my cheek whilst the other is still wrapped around my waist. His eyes flicker between my eyes and my lips as he begins to lean in closer. I doesn't take long before his lips are on mine. I respond back instantly and then I close my eyes as I melt into him.
