Chapter thirty:

Aaliyahs pov:

I am just getting ready to go out to meet my old friend when I get an unexpected phone call. I turn my phone over and see it's lando.

"hello" I say as I answer the phone "hey sweetheart, how are you?" He asks. "I am great thank you how are you?" I reply with red cheeks. I always blush when he says that. I dont like how I react because my cheeks burn and I also have butterflies in my stomach. "I am good thx for asking. I am going to be in the uk tomorrow. I have to go to the McLaren technology centre and I was wondering if you and Mattheo wanted to come with me?" He asks. "I would love to but I don't want to interrupt with your work" I say. I don't want to intrude at his workplace. I can always see him after he has finished work. "You will not be interrupting, I want you to be there. I miss you guys" he says. I miss him too and I think Mattheo does too because he keeps asking when are we going to see Lando again. It's crazy how attached you can get to a person who you have only know a few days but it's like we have known each other for years. "We miss you too Lan. Mattheo hasn't stopped asking if he can talk to you this morning." I say whilst giggling. "Aww he is so cute. Can I speak to him?" He asks. "Yh of course let me just take you to him" I say as I get up from my vanity and walk downstairs to the living room. "Mattheo someone wants to speak to you" I say. He turns around so he is facing me and reaches for the phone. I hand him the phone and then I look around the room. I see my parents are looking at me curiously. I smile at them and the look back to Mattheo. "Hello?" Mattheo says. Lando must of said something because the minute he does, Mattheo's face lit up like a lightbulb. "LANDO!" Mattheo says loudly. "I miss you Lando. When will I see you again?" He asks. The conversation goes on for another 5ish minutes before Mattheo hands me back the phone again. "Hey" I say as I begin to walk back upstairs so I can continue to get ready. "Hey darling" "what are you doing?" He asks. Omg he needs to stop with these nicknames because I don't think my cheeks can take it anymore. "I am just getting ready to go out because I am meeting up with an old friend" I reply. "Oo sounds fun. Do you want me to leave you alone, I can call you back later" he asks. "No it's fine, I can get ready whilst also being on the phone with you" I respond.

I try to continue getting ready whilst also speaking to Lando but it has proven to be quite difficult because I keep getting distracted from what I was going. I have finally finished getting ready. "I have to go now lan, if I don't leave now I'm going to be late" I say. "Ok darling, I will call you later if that's ok?" He asks. " yes of course that is ok, speak to you later, bye" he says bye and then hangs up.

I gather my purse, a lipgloss and my
Phone and walk downstairs. I walk into the living room again so I can speak to my parents. "Can I please borrow your car so I can go and meet ruby?" I ask. I believe I am still insured on it from when I used to use it. I used to use it to get to college if my parents had the day off or they didn't need the car. "Yes of course kiddo, the keys are hanging up by the door" he says as he concentrates on the tv. My dad and Mattheo are watching the tv whilst my mom is sitting in her chair reading a book. "Ok well I will be leaving now so bye, love you all" I say as I gave all of them a kiss in the cheek. "Behave for your grandparents ok baby" I say to Mattheo. "I will mamma! I love you." He says. "I love you more" I say as I give him one last kiss. I turn around, walk to the door and open it. I grab the car key and then close the door behind me.

Short chapter sorry. I didn't have much time to write this because I have been revising for loads of exams recently whilst also working at a new job and also revising for my theory test so it has been stressful. I will try to post this weekend but I don't know if I can fit everything in. I will try my best.

please recommend ideas. Anything will help.
