Aaliyah's pov:
We are getting ready for the qualifying to start. A member of the McLaren team handed me and mattheo headphones and asked us politely to stand at the back of the garage behind the counter. I picked Mattheo up and I walk towards it.
McLaren have brough their first big upgrade package for the Miami Grand Prix with Lando's car. There are 10 new upgrades on his car while there is only half of them on Oscar's.
Sprint qualifying has begun. Leclerc was the first onto the track. He is probably desperate to get some track time after what happened in free practice.With 2 minutes remaining of sq1 Oscar has been hit by Valtteri Bottas. Bottas was going slowly, twiddling some knobs on his steering wheel and he isn't warned that Piastri is approaching so the both came close to colliding. "Did Oscar have a crash" I hear Mattheo ask. "No baby it was very close thought. I think Valtteri Bottas might get a penalty for impeding him" I reply back. "Is he ok?" Mattheo asked with a face full of concern. "Yes baby he is fine." I say. Mattheo signs in relief.
At the end of sprint qualifying 1 Lando is p1! His lap time is 1.27.939 which is 0.177 seconds faster then Oscar.

A few minutes go by and the ten-minute SQ2 segment begins. Magnussen leads the way out for Haas, with Hulkenberg just behind. I look at Mattheo and see his eyes are glued to the screen. "Are you enjoying watching sprint qualifying in here?" I asked Mattheo which draws his eyes away from the screen. "Yes mamma its like a dream had come true" "I am going to be just like them when I am older. Racing around the Miami track." He says. "When you are racing around the Miami track I will be watching you from the sidelines." I reply. Mattheo smiles at me and then looks back at the screen to see what has changed. With two minutes to go Lando still sits on top ahead of Perez Leclerc and Ricciardo. Hamilton and Russell are both on used mediums, Russell currently sits at P10, half a tenth ahead of his team mate.
Mercedes looked decent in practice, but their pace seamed to decrease because neither driver looking comfortable and were both out in sq2. On top of that Hamilton has just been noted for a pit lane infringement.

4.) Verstappen
5.) Ricciardo ELIMINATION ZONE
6.) Piastri 11.) Russell
7.) Alonso 12.) Hamilton
8.) Sainz 13.) Ocon

Now is the time to decide the top 10 for the Sprint grid tomorrow. There is no initial movement in the pit lane though. Everyone waiting for the right moment to go out on the track. If the team time it right there is enough time for two push laps with a cool down in between. The drivers will be on soft tyres which can be hard to adjust to because of the different grip levels and braking points.
With four minutes to go there are still no cars on the track which mean there will only be time for one flying run.
Verstappen has just started his flying lap. He's two tenths up on his team mate through the first sector alone. And he goes purple in the second sector too however he oversteers in the final sector. Even with the mistake
Verstappen is two tenths faster than Perez.
Piastri is the last to cross the line and set off for his fastest lap he will have that deficit to Norris thanks to now having the full upgrades.
Lando has struggled with sprint qualifying 3. I think it might be because of the different tyre compound. The car is more suited to medium tyres then softs.
The checkered flag is waved and the results for sq3 are:

3.) Perez
4.) Ricciardo
5.) Sainz
6.) Piastri
7.) Stroll
