Aaliyah's pov:As we all cozied up on the sofa, Lando, Mattheo, and I, we laugh and enjoy the movie until the very end. When the credits rolled, I glanced over at Mattheo and saw that he had already dozed off, his little chest rising and falling in a peaceful rhythm.
Looking up, I met Lando's gaze, and there was that familiar twinkle in his eyes, filled with love and a sense of belonging. I couldn't help but smile at him, feeling grateful for the him being her with Mattheo and I.
"Hey, babe," I whispered, "I think it's time to head to bed. What do you say?"
Lando nodded, his expression mirroring my own desire for a good night's sleep. As I began to stand up, ready to scoop up my sleeping son, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Lando had already cradled Mattheo in his arms, holding him with such tenderness.
"Looks like you beat me to it," I chuckled softly, touched by the sight of them together.
Lando gently motioned for me to lead the way, and I nodded, taking a moment to turn off the TV and dim the lights in the living room. I wanted to create a peaceful environment as we made our way upstairs, careful not to disturb my parents who were sleeping soundly downstairs.
"Shhh, we need to be quiet," I whispered, my voice barely above a breath. "We don't want to wake them up."
Lando nodded in agreement, his eyes filled with determination as we embarked on our stealthy ascent. Each step was taken with utmost care, our footsteps hushed and deliberate, as we navigated the darkness together.
And so, with Mattheo cradled safely in Lando's arms, we made our way up the stairs. As I opened the door to my room and switched on the light, a soft glow from the bedside lamp filled the space, creating a peaceful atmosphere. "Time for bed, Mattheo," I whispered, guiding him to the middle of the bed. Lando carefully placed him down, making sure he was comfortable.
I smiled at Lando and asked, "Would you like some comfy clothes to change into?" He nodded gratefully, so I went to my drawers, searching for the perfect oversized joggers and a soft t-shirt. "These should be perfect," I said, handing them over to him. "You can change in the attached bathroom while I find my own pajamas."
I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement and nervousness as I noticed Lando standing there, wearing those joggers that hugged his figure just right, but with no shirt on. My face flushed crimson, and I struggled to maintain composure.
With a playful grin, Lando explained, "The shirt didn't fit properly, so I decided to go without it." My heart fluttered at his casual confidence, and I managed to mumble an awkward response. Feeling self-conscious, I quickly made my way to the bathroom to get changed.
After slipping into my favorite pair of comfy pajamas, I took a moment to wash my face, the cool water soothing my skin, and brushed my teeth, ensuring a fresh and clean feeling. It was a simple routine, but it helped me unwind and prepare for a restful night's sleep.
Once I finished my routine, I turned off the lights and then closed to bathroom door as I walk out. I look at the bed and see Lando already cozied up in the bed. I smile at the scene and then walk over so I can get in too. I wrapped the blanket around me and then lay my head down onto the pillow. I looked at Lando and see he is already looking at me. "Goodnight lan" I whispered, being careful not to be too loud so I don't wake Mattheo up. "Goodnight my love" Lando replies as I close my else's and begin to drift off into a deep sleep.
In the middle of the night, as Lando and I peacefully slept, Mattheo suddenly woke up, his tiny body trembling with fear. He let out a whimper, tears streaming down his cheeks. Lando and I immediately sprung into action, rushing to his side.
"What's wrong, buddy?" Lando asked, his voice filled with concern.Mattheo sniffled and managed to share his distressing dream. "Dadda, mamma, I had a scary dream. Someone was trying to take me away from you."
My heart ached as I listened to his words. I pulled Mattheo into a comforting embrace, gently stroking his hair. "Oh, sweetheart, it was just a dream. We're right here with you, and we'll always keep you safe."Lando joined in, wrapping his arms around both of us. "That's right, little buddy. We'll always protect you, no one can ever take you away from us."
Together, we created a soothing rhythm, softly singing Mattheo's favorite song and whispering words of reassurance. Gradually, his sobs subsided, and his breathing steadied as he found solace in our presence. With a gentle kiss on Mattheo's forehead, we silently vowed to always be there for him, through dreams and reality, protecting him and cherishing the precious moments we had together.
As Mattheo settles back into a peaceful slumber, lando and I find ourselves nestled under the cozy covers, seeking solace in each other's arms. The room is dimly lit, creating a serene ambiance that matches the tranquility of the moment.
We both exchange gentle whispers, sharing words of reassurance. Lando's soothing voice and warm presence help calm my racing thoughts. Why did he have a bad dream? Who was trying to take him from me? His hand gently caresses my back, creating a soothing rhythm that lulls me into a state of relaxation.
Together, we close your eyes, allowing the weariness of the day to melt away. The rhythmic sound of our breathing intertwines, creating a harmonious symphony that fills the room.
As i drift back to sleep, the comforting presence of Lando reminds me that we are not alone in this journey. With his unwavering support, i find solace in knowing that we can face any challenge that comes our way.
In the embrace of sleep, i find peace, knowing that lando and i are in this together, ready to face whatever dreams or challenges the night may bring.
