They were gloving. Scar's blue crystal magic or as he likes to call it' the vex ' was swirling with the water like a very windy storm not adding that the weird sun power Grian got was only spicing the mixture up.

" Cub!"
" You decide to finally show up, how.. nice.. oh.Oh..that's unfortunate."

The brightness consumed him just like once, the darkness had but this time everyone bit of sculk that the light touched discombobulated into small bits of blue light.

They made sure Tango was safe ( they knocked him out and put him in a light shield bubble )

The flash didn't last longer than a few seconds but felt like hours have passed, clearing everything and only leaving the old cobblestone ruins.

Grian let Scar hand go. The power connection suddenly stopped.

The felt the tiredness in their bodies.
The connection took a lot of energy from both of them.

" Do you think is everything safe now." Grian said weakly, fighting against falling asleep.

" I think only the time will show -"Scar yawed.

They fell on the floor, falling asleep immediately and cuddling to each other.

" Griba!"

" Shhh! Don't wake them up!"
Bdubs yelled at her.

Cleo sighed and walked to the third man, he was in very bad condition but knowing him he'll be as good as new in a few days.

" Can you stand up?"

" Uhh... I think so?"

Cleo smiled and give him a hand.

" I hope you have learnt something Cub."

" A lot actually" he laughed weakly.

On the other side of the room Jimmy was trying to get Tango out of the crystal.
The fired breed was still angry.

" Norman could you blast this?"

He didn't what his papa told him too, the crystal broke.

Tango still was in his fire form, making the temperature very hot again.

Jimmy wrapped his arms around him.
"Tango, calm down. I'm okay."

Tango's eyes became his normal red again.
" Jimmy..."

Jimmy give Tango a quick kiss.
"Hello again rancher."

Tango hugged him.
Norman also came to get a hug.

"Jimmy" Pearl asked as both of them were carrying Grian back to the castle
"I was just curious,  how did Tango didn't..Uh burn you back then."

Jimmy was shocked , he wasn't really expecting that question coming from Pearl. He started at Pearl for a while until he laughed.

" I'm not sure? I think it's because I'm a water breed and he's a fire one and we just neutralise eachothers powers.
I'm not 100% convinced that's the reason tho..."

Pearl didn't say anything for a moment.

" It really a miracle that you woke up after the flash of light. I'm not sure we would handle Tango if you were still sleeping." She mumbled out of nowhere.

The were walking in silence for nearly the rest of the trip.
Pearl noticed Jimmy glancing at Tango from time to time.

"You must really love him, don't you."

"I do." He smiled.

In that moment, Pearl noticed how much her little brother grown up.

" We here, let's put everyone who's injured in the healthcare wing."
Cleo announced. They showed them the way.

After they laid down Scar and Grian,  Celo stayed a little longer to look at their hart beats, just to make they were alight.
Cleo if they really concentrate they could see peoples heart beat, a side effect of being the half dead half earth breed.

To their suprise.. the beat was in the best condition... and their hearts were beating synchronized.

" Well that's interesting..."

Grian blinked slowly, trying to adjust to the brightness.  He got slowly up and looked around.
He was in unfamiliar place.Grian looked at his hand, the heart had faded away but he could still see the red string that lead to Scar.

" Oh you woke up already."
Someone said.

Grian just noticed the man who was sitting across.

He looked oddly familiar... but Grian couldn't quite get why.

"Did we meet before?"

The man looked at him.
" Not really? but yeah?"
Grian stared at him confused.

"You know what - forget it.
I'm Cub, Scar's childhood friend."

Grian nodded, he wasn't quite what he was feeling in that moment. He did even know what to say.

They stood in awkward silence.

" Uh..so I heard that you and Scar are soulmates."
Grian looked at his hand. He never thought about that, he felt weird thinking about it ... and Scar. Especially Scar.

" Eh..uh..I don't know? How does it even work?"

Cub laughed.
"Sorry Scar asked me the same question. It's quite simple, your souls are now connected and you can feel each other pain or emotions in general. It's actually a very hard thing to do but if you both could do it that means one thing - "

" Griba!!!" Pearl came running towards her brother, interrupt their conversation.

"Pearl, Jimmy?"

"Welcome to the reality G -Ah! Pearl!"

She galnced at him.
"Sorry.."

Grian laughed.
"I've missed you both. I'm so happy you both are alright."

Cub never finished his sentence.

---On the other side of the castle another family reunion have place.---

Scar stood in front of the door. Too scared to open them.
His emotions were all over the place after his conversation with Cub.

The door suddenly opened. Two people who Scar was so scared to face stood right there. They looked at each other.

" Scar..." Celo said quietly. He missed their voice.
Scar didn't want to look at them so he started at the floor.

" I'm sorry... Cleo... Bdubs.."
He wanted to turn around and ran but someone stopped him.

Bdubs filled with tears eyes looked at him as he hugged his brother.
"I'm- We missed you- stupid!"

"B-" Scar started laughing but the laughing soon became a waterfall of tears.

Celo hugged them.
"I'm sorry Scar... For everything.."

Scar looked at them

"Family is something we can't change. No matter what."

Grian couldn't fall asleep, he was still quite tired so he sped all the day sleeping.
He went on the nearest balcony to take some fresh air.To his suprise his sister was there.

" Can't sleep?"
Pearl nodded, she looked like something was bothering her. Grian came closer to her.

They were starring at the night sky.

"Soo... You and Gem-"

Pearl shot him a look.
" I don't know what are you talking about."

" Sure, your greatest twin doesn't know everything about you."

Pearl stepped closer and whispered something to him.
" And you and Scar?"

Grian turned away.
" You know what fair." He mumbled.
"I think I'll go back."

Pearl giggled.
