Malakai Davis
Hiraeth laughed and giggled as I tried to pull her back into bed. "Where do you think you're going Missy?"
"Malakai release me. I'm trying to put my pants back on." She stopped fighting and I pulled her back onto my bed. She still managed to wiggle her pants over her hips.
"Why?" I groaned. All I wanted to do was lay in my bed all day. Hell, I skipped school and slept in all day. Hiraeth decided to stop by after school to see if I was alright. I wasn't in the mood for guests, but after taking a nap with her I felt a bit better.
One, innocent, forehead kiss led to a small make-out session which further led to my shirt and her pants being peeled off. But Hiraeth pulled the plug before we could go any further.
"Because I would be embarrassed if your mom knocked on the door when we were half naked and cuddling," Hiraeth said.
"Who said anything about cuddling?" I rolled my eyes. I could feel myself getting more and more irritated with her by the second. I just wanted to be with her but left alone at the same time. I tried to quell my uneasy and wavering feelings with a smile. "I love you."
"I know you do." Hiraeth bit her lip.
I furrowed my brows, noticing that she didn't say it back. "What's wrong, did I do something?"
Hiraeth shook her head, but the look on her face told me that I had done something wrong. "It's nothing I swear so don't take it the wrong way." I just looked at her so she continued. "Sometimes I remember that you're not attracted to me and it makes me feel bad that you have to pretend."
I slit my eyes. I knew that my asexuality was going to become an issue for her later. "There are different forms of attraction, I'm still attracted to you romantically. So I'm not pretending."
Hiraeths sighed. "You don't have to lie to me, it's okay. I don't want to make you miserable."
"Stop it." I stood up.
"Stop what?" Hiraeth stood up as well.
I crossed her arms. "This whole thing you're doing."
"Thing?" Hiraeth asked innocently. She seemed genuinely confused as if she wasn't just complaining about me.
"I love you and you know that so why is me not being sexually attracted to you such a big deal?" She tried to reach for me and I took a step back.
Hiraeth shrugged. "I didn't mean to make it a big deal. I just feel bad because I'm making you-"
"You're not making me do anything. I'm always on top." I argued.
"Just because you're on top doesn't mean you don't have to consent." Hiraeth pointed out.
She made one more attempt at touching me and I swatted her hand away. "What the hell? I never fucking said that, Hiraeth!"
Hiraeth opened her mouth and then closed it. She crossed her arms and frowned. "Are you okay?"
I scoffed. I was perfectly fine until she started picking a fight over nothing. "You're picking a fight for no reason!"
Hiraeth's foot started to tap rapidly. "No, Kai, you are! I said one thing and you're blowing it out of proportion and you're yelling at me! I just wanted to make sure that you were okay!"
It was clear she didn't give a damn about me or else she'd just leave me the hell alone. What was the point of her coming to visit me if she was just going to pick a fight? "You wanted to absolve yourself of some imaginary guilt!"
