Hiraeth Davenport
Jamie scratched her head in a display of confusion at the gossip I just shared with her. "So let me get this straight... he blew Wynn off for a date last week... didn't call or text. He definitely didn't apologize and she still went to his house last night, for a booty call."
"I told her ass not to do that. She swears he loves her or some bullshit." I groaned, dramatically. I was just as disappointed, if not more, in Wynn's actions. Honestly, I missed the days when Wynn snuck around with Jason behind my back.
Jamie and I stopped walking once we reached her locker. "All I can do is pray for her."
I felt a pair of hands slip around my waist. I smiled, immediately knowing who it was. "As if God would listen to your gay ass."
Jamie kissed her teeth and flipped Malakai off, which just caused me and my girl to giggle. "And you called me gay. Look at Hiraeth's silly ass melting over there."
"Don't drag me into your mess," I mumbled.
"Carry on with your conversation, I didn't mean to interrupt." Malakai just kissed me on the head. I would have been a bit anxious about her public display of affection if the school wasn't damn there empty. Not only was it the Friday before the beginning of President's break, but it was a good hour after school ended.
"You wouldn't like our topic." I didn't even like our topic and I was the one who started it. All Jamie did was ask me why Wynn skipped out on our girl's night yesterday. And I began a whole spiel about Wynn and her delusion over Jason.
"Are you talking about me?" Malakai asked playfully.
Jamie shook her head. "Wynn."
"She's delusional and it's stressing me out. He doesn't love her I wish she'd realize that." I ranted. Wynn was never the type to act so stupid over a boy. But then again, I didn't know as much about her love life as I thought I did.
"She'll figure it out on her own," Malakai assured me. Jamie nodded in agreement. I was surprised that Malakai was being so kind about the situation with Wynn, considering that Malakai had been feeling down all week.
"After she gets pregnant and ends up a single mother," I grumbled. This whole situation wouldn't end up well for Wynn.
"Jason wouldn't do that," Malakai said.
I looked back at her in annoyance and confusion. "What do you see in him that no one else can see? He isn't a good guy."
"And he has terrible gaydar," Jamie muttered.
I turned to Jamie in confusion. "Where did that-"
Malakai laughed. "Oh yeah, he told me that you laughed at him when he tried to ask you out."
"I couldn't help but laugh at his goofy ass. I am clearly a homosexual." Jamie waved her hand over her whole outfit. She was right, she dressed like a whole dude.
"Jamie, I have to tell you about last night!" All of us turned to look at where Wynn's voice was coming from. She was practically skipping through the halls.
Jamie closed her locker and leaned up against it. "I already heard what happened last night." I snapped my head towards Jamie. If I had known she was going to snitch I wouldn't have said anything.
Wynn's smile just got bigger. "You heard? From who? Did Jason tell someone?"
"I don't think he would tell anyone." I scratched my arm. I pulled apart from Kai and stood with my legs crossed. It probably wasn't the best idea because Wynn and Malakai were closer.
