Hiraeth Davenport
I shivered as I felt a hand slither from my back and around my waist. I already knew who was holding me like that. I became wordless as she pulled me closer to her body, tightly trapping me as she placed a soft kiss on my shoulder. "Can I steal my baby for a minute?"
Jamie smacked her lips and grimaced. "You damn there grinded on each other the entire night. You're not sick of her yet?"
I rolled my eyes at Jamie's exaggeration. Malakai and I danced very closely at prom but that was because prom is supposed to be a romantic night for couples. Not because we wanted to get it on in the middle of the gym floor.
"I just want to talk to her. No freaky stuff, I promise." Malakai giggled. Malakai had practically been drunk the entire night. She had gotten roped into getting ready for prom with Laura and Jason, and apparently pregaming was a part of getting ready.
She assured me that nothing happened with Laura and Jason, and I decided to take her word for it. I trusted Malakai with my whole heart, enough to overrule my distrust of Laura and Jason.
Luckily, since Malakai was completely drunk she clung to me during the whole night. I didn't mind it, one bit. I just wished she would take it further and drag me into the bathroom with her. Instead, Jamie and I got dragged to a prom afterparty after partying at prom for a total of three whole hours.
You'd think that everyone was tired. But they seemed to just be more energetic. Teenagers in formal wear were throwing back shots, dancing, and singing in every corner of Jason's mansion. Thankfully, I was able to convince Malakai to let us go back to my place and change out of our prom dresses before heading to the party.
"Both of you are drunk right now, so I don't trust any of you," Jamie mumbled.
I scoffed. "I only had one and a half drinks, I'm hardly tipsy." I was definitely lying. I wasn't as drunk as Malakai, but I was still drunk.
"Jamie, you can't keep hiding from her forever." Malakai said teasingly. I whipped my head to her, confused as to what she was talking about. "Your sister's dating someone."
I immediately turned to look at Jamie. "Excuse me? Why didn't you tell me?" I punched Jamie on the arm. She backed away from me, laughing. I would have hit her again, had Malakai's sexy ass not been holding me back. "Explain now before I disown you."
Jamie scratched the back of her head awkwardly. "Sarah and I aren't dating. We're only friends that like kissing-"
"And scissoring." Malakai interrupted.
"Scissoring is a myth." Jamie rolled her eyes. "We haven't put a label on anything yet..."
"Because you're hiding from her so you can avoid the inevitable conversation," Malakai said.
"Can you shut her up?" Jamie pouted. I just turned to my lovely girlfriend and meshed our lips together. "Not like that."
"You didn't specify." I shrugged, innocently. "But why are you avoiding Sarah?"
"She told me that she loved me while we were cuddling." The smile that crept up on Jamie's face made me a bit more curious.
Malakai snorted. "They were cuddling in the same way you and I cuddled last night." Jamie and I's jaw dropped simultaneously at Malakai's confession.
"Don't you have any of your own business to tell?" Jamie lunged at Malakai who just laughed.
"I just did." Malakai shrugged. Malakai released me and left me longing for her touch again. I couldn't stop the flashbacks that played in my head due to Malakai's mention of what took place last night. Even though I was practically teased with no sort of release, I still craved more.
