Adrian's pov:-

A knot of unease tightened in my stomach, my gut warning me that something wasn't right.

As I discussed the upcoming deal with Bennett in my office, the knot of unease in my stomach tightened, amplifying the earlier sense of something being wrong.

"Lets take a break and discuss this later", I muttered.

"Sure, Are you okay? Is something wrong?" Bennett asked in a concerning tone.

"No, everything is fine. Did you check the project preparation?" I asked to divert the conservation.

"No, but I'll do it right away. Don't worry", Bennett said before leaving the office.

With a sigh, I leaned back in my chair and pulled up the security footage of my house, a growing sense of unease gnawing at me. I scanned the familiar images, seeking reassurance. Relief washed over me as I spotted Mom-- peacefully reading her favourite magazine in the living room and Dad diligently working in his office.

A wave of relief washed over me as I saw my parents safe and sound, but it did little to unreavel the knot of unease that remained tightly coiled in my gut.

"What the Fuck" I muttered to myself. The image of specific brunette flashed into my mind. Cursing under my breath, I knew I had to check on Iris.

My attempts to reach Iris were met with silence. Her phone remained stubbornly switched off, and inquiries revealed she was absent from both her home and office. The gnawing worry in my stomach intensified, morphing into a growing concern.

My knuckles turned white as I gripped the steering wheel, panic rising like a tidal wave. The phone's sudden ring startled me, and I snatched it up, seeing Bennett's name flash on the screen. "Any news?" I blurted out, desperate for any information.

"Yes, her car was found on a deserted road and", My blood ran cold from Bennett's hesitant voice, adding a chilling layer to the growing Strom of worry within me.

"And? Speak the Fuck up Bennett", I shouted against the phone.

"And her car was found crashed into a tree", Bennett's words about her car being found mangled against a tree washed over me like a wave, leaving me numb. My foot slammed on the brakes, bringing the car to a sudden, jolting halt.

Terror choked my voice as I whispered, "And Iris?"

"She is nowhere to be found", Bennett muttered.

"Send me the location immediately", I told him.

"Okay, I'm on my way there", Bennett informed before hanging up.

The thoughts of something happening to her is unbearable. I can't imagine the person I'd become. No, No, No She must be fine. She's my Lioness , strong and courageous, always ready to fight.

Arriving at the scene, I found Bennett already there. My gaze immediately fell upon her car, the sight of its brutal damage leaving me speechless.

As I Inspected her car, I noticed the chilling presence of blood droplets staining the steering wheel.

Fucking hell!

The blood on the steering wheel confirmed Iris's injury. I already told my men to check every nearby hospitals, but she's nowhere to be found. This begs the question: where could she be?

My eyes darted around, landing on a small convenience store tucked away in the corner. If it had a Security footage, it might hold the key to piecing together what happened to Iris.

With a curt nod to Bennett, I stormed into the Convenience store, my veins filled with icy determination. Ignoring the protests, I demanded to see the security footage from the past three hours. After five tense minutes, the manager led me to his cramped back office where the grainy footage flickered on the screen.

My eyes immediately caught Iris's car, but my gaze was quickly drawn to another vehicle in close pursuit. The second car relentlessly chased Iris, forcing her to speed up. The chase escalated, culminating in a brutal collision. The pursuing car rammed Iris's vehicle with such force that it sent her car careening into a tree.

Motherfucker

Two figures emerged from the pursuing car and approached Iris's wrecked vehicle. They then carried her unconscious from back into their car, confirming my worst fear: Iris had been kidnapped.

"Bennett, get every detail you can about that car. Track it down. Iris's phone might still be with her, so track everything. Every clue that could lead us to her".

"Okay Boss on it", Bennett replied.

I have some skilled stalkers and hackers at my disposal. We'll find Iris, and then that fucking kidnapper will regret kidnapping and hurting her.

I'll make his life a living hell, and he'll burn in the flames of my revenge.
