"Guys get up! Get up! we have to go" I hear a harsh whisper as I'm roughly shaken awake. It's bright and I have a feeling we have overslept. I push the covers off me still trying to gather my bearings.

Daniel is quickly shoving supplies into his bag as he hurriedly shoves on his shoes. "What's going on?" Evelyn says as she sits up, her hair all sticking in different directions. I get up and feel a dull ache in my body from the hard floor.

"They're here! They fucking found us. I told you to make sure they couldn't" he pauses before rushing over to the other side of the tree house where there's a gap almost like a window. I pull Evelyn up and usher her to gather her things

"Daniel that's unfair. They must have found the truck otherwise they wouldn't have a reason to come looking this way. It looks like there's a group of them." Miles raspy voice says making me jump

His swelling has gone down but the bruising has barely healed. "Shit we haven't got enough ammo for a group. We'll need another way down" how the hell did they find us. My heart drops knowing it was a big mistake to let Draven leave.

"There's a tree we can reach from this back window. There's enough bush to cover us when we're at the bottom" Daniel inspects from the window as Evelyn stands behind him.

I peer down where the truck is a couple meters away. I can't tell who the group are but I remembered a whole bus full of people not a group so I don't know if it is my dads people. Their voices are barely audible.

I didn't want to leave the truck but it looks like I have no choice. "Alright we need to hurry because if they find us whilst we are climbing down we're dead" I rush and they all nod and Daniel is the first to start the descend.

"Don't mind me" I frown as I hear an unfamiliar voice and Miles curses. I turn around to see Draven hop through the window and Miles looks very concerned whether he should be allowed in. None of them asked what happened to him so I figured they overheard.

"I'm starting to think you have a death wish" I growl as it can't be a coincidence that he's back and now these people are suddenly walking upon this place. He tilts his head at me.

"I have a death wish? You were the one who decided to not listen to my advice about leaving early in the morning" my mouth closes as he's right I did totally forget about his formal warning.

"So you have no idea why they stumbled across the place you took us to?" I nod to Evelyn who was watching and waiting to climb down but she listens as Miles helps her onto the tree branch

"Only I and one other knows this place and I didn't think he'd rat me out but we all have our limits" he peers down like I did and from the posture change I can tell this isn't good.

"Come on Vera you next" Miles calls as he glares at Draven who has a plain expression. Draven seems to be calculating something and I'm very curious as to what he's doing.

"No you're hurt Miles it'll take you longer to get down. If they see you I can cover you from up here" he shakes his head as he starts to drag me over and Draven seems to notice this.

"That would mean that you can't get down and you know I won't leave you" I finally pull out of his grasp and his eyes look scared. No he will go I can't risk them getting hurt again. Not again.

"Miles go. Trust me." he sighs as he pulls me into a hug before stepping onto the tree branch. He wobbles making me hold my breath but he soon regains his balance.

"I'm guessing you know who it is" I say and he smirks as he shrugs his shoulders. I peep down to see Miles still struggling to reach the bottom. I move away from the window and look out the main entrance.
