The sun had barely risen when Felix groggily got out of bed.
Today was the day of their final math exam—the hardest one yet. He knew that his friends were equally anxious.
He streched him body and grabbed his phone checking the time.
06:00 a.m.
The previous night, he had stayed up late, cramming equations and formulas into his already overloaded brain, making him wake up with a massive headache, already regretting his choice from last night.
Felix lived alone in his small apartment, a safe haven he had created for himself after his parents' tragic death.
Felix met up with his friends at the campus cafeteria. They were already seated at their usual table, textbooks and notes spread out before them.
Chan, Minho, Changbin, Hyunjin and Seungmin—all alphas except for Jisung and Jeongin, who like Felix, were omegas—were engrossed in their studies. They looked up and greeted Felix with warm smiles, a source of comfort.
"Hey, Lix," Chan called out, patting the empty seat next to him. "Ready for the final boss?"
Felix chuckled, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. "As ready as I'll ever be."
For the next couple of hours, they quizzed each other relentlessly. Equations, theories, and problem-solving strategies flew back and forth across the table.
Felix appreciated their support, yet he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease creeping up on him and his headache combining together.
The bell rang, signaling the time for their exam. The group exchanged quick nods of encouragement and dispersed to their respective classrooms.
Felix felt a sudden wave of dizziness as he walked down the corridor.
His vision blurred, and his stomach churned violently. Panic surged through him, and he dashed to the nearest bathroom.
Felix barely made it to the toilet before he vomited. His mind was a whirlwind of memories—his mind unconciously slipping where he didn't need at the moment.
"Run, go! Don't look ba-."
Don't. Stop it, don't think about it.
He gripped the edge of the toilet, gasping for air, willing the images to fade. With a trembling resolve, he walked to the sink and splashed cold water on his face and forced himself to focus.
Summoning every ounce of strength, Felix straightened up and headed to his classroom.
He took his seat, the exam paper looming before him.
Determined, he picked up his pen and began to write, each stroke of ink a battle against the chaos inside his mind.
When the exam finally ended, Felix walked out feeling drained. The adrenaline that had kept him going began to wane, leaving him exhausted.
