I'm gonna sleep, goodbye.

Felix was late.
After his talk with his friends, or I mean, his potential mates from a couple of days ago, he scheduled dates with each of them. And now, he's late to his date with Jeongin.
He wanted to start from youngest to oldest, he thinks he won't be so awkward around the younger ones. And since he had a nice time with Jeongin at his cousin's wedding, why not go on a date with him first?
Felix had on a nice outfit planned that would go well with what they are doing. He had a white t-shirt and on top of it a blazer with white and pink squares, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of white sneakers.
He had spent an extra five minutes making sure his hair looked just right, adding to his tardiness. Felix dashed out the door, his heart racing not just from the exertion but also from the anticipation of seeing Jeongin.
He carried a large picnic basket filled with carefully prepared sandwiches, fresh fruits, and a couple of bottles of sparkling water.
As he approached the park where they had agreed to meet, Felix spotted Jeongin already there, spreading out a large checkered blanket under a shady tree. Jeongin looked up just as Felix arrived, a playful smile on his lips.
"You're late," Jeongin teased, standing up to give Felix a quick hug.
"I know, I'm so sorry," Felix replied, slightly out of breath. "I got caught up with something at home. I hope you haven't been waiting too long."
Jeongin shook his head. "Not too long. I got the blanket and some other stuff ready while I waited. You look beautiful hyung, by the way."
Felix blushed slightly, grateful for the compliment. "Thanks. You look pretty too."
They settled on the blanket, Felix unpacking the food while Jeongin set up some cushions and a portable speaker playing soft music. The weather was perfect for a picnic, with the sun shining brightly but not too hot, and a gentle breeze keeping things comfortable.
"This looks amazing, Felix hyung," Jeongin said, eyeing the spread of food. "You really went all out."
"I wanted to make sure we had a good time," Felix replied, smiling. "I remembered you like chicken sandwiches, so I made a couple of those."
Jeongin's eyes lit up. "You're the best, hyung!"
They began to eat, chatting about everything and nothing. Felix found himself laughing more than he had in a long time, Jeongin's infectious enthusiasm making it easy to forget his initial nerves.
They shared stories, joked about mutual friends, memories together, and even played a game of guessing which cloud shapes looked like various animals.
The younger omega was squinting his eyes, trying to fight the sun's light and to make sense of the cloud's shape. Felix was laughing as Jeongin's eyes started to water from the sun.
Felix looked over and smiled at the maknae, still not giving up on whatever that animal or thing in the cloud is.
This is so nice and calming...
I don't even know why I was so stressed about.
Huh, I could get used to this.
Felix thought as he smiled fondly at Jeongin while he just gave up and covered his eyes, hiding them from the sun's power and bursting into laughter, his dimples on display for Felix to see.
...
As the afternoon wore on, Felix felt a growing sense of ease and connection with Jeongin. They lay back on the blanket, looking up at the sky, talking about their dreams and aspirations.
Felix realized how much he enjoyed Jeongin's company, his lightheartedness balanced by moments of surprising depth.
Eventually, the sun began to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the park. They packed up their picnic, working together seamlessly.
Felix was just about to suggest they take a final walk around the park when Jeongin's phone buzzed.
"Minho hyung is here to pick me up," Jeongin said, glancing at the message. "He's just parked at the entrance."
Felix felt a bit of disappointment that the date was coming to an end but tried to hide it. "Okay, let's go meet him."
They walked to the park entrance, where Minho's car was parked. Minho stepped out, a little smile on his face. "Hey. How was the picnic?" He said while softly crooning.
"It was great," Jeongin replied enthusiastically, hugging his mate to which Minho responded fast. "Felix hyung made the best sandwiches."
Minho cocked an eyebrow at Felix, grinning. "Impressive. Maybe you can make some for me on our date."
Felix blushed and looked away. "I'll consider it."
Jeongin turned to Felix, a hint of reluctance in his eyes. "I had a really good time today. Let's do this again hyung."
Felix smiled while nodding his head slowly, feeling a warmth spread through his chest.
Jeongin gave Felix a quick hug before getting into the car. Minho waved and climbed into the driver's seat, and they drove off, leaving Felix standing there, a smile playing on his lips.
As he watched the car disappear down the street, Felix couldn't help but feel excited about the future and the possibilities it held, even though it was also scary, he was willing to take a risk to find his happiness
The day had been a success, and Felix felt a sense of confidence as he looked forward to the dates with his other mates.
Wait, mates?
What am I even saying?
We are just partial mates, o-or maybe potential mates?
Soon-to-be potential partial mates?
Felix started to unconciously laugh a little at his thoughts.
Maybe, just maybe, he was on the path to finding something truly special.
