One and a half year had passed since that unforgettable New Year's Eve, and life had only grown more beautiful for the group. Now, at the height of summer, they stood together on the warm, sandy shores of the beach, their laughter mingling with the sounds of waves and seagulls.

The day was alive with joy and affection. Every glance, every touch, spoke of the deep love they all shared--not just as a couple but as a family.

Felix sat on a blanket, trying to wrestle with a stubborn cooler lid while Changbin leaned in close, his chin resting on Felix's shoulder. "You know, you're adorable when you're struggling," Changbin teased, his voice low and playful.

Felix huffed, shooting him a mock glare. "You could help instead of just looking pretty."

"But looking pretty is my specialty," Changbin countered with a grin, pressing a kiss to Felix's freckled cheek before finally opening the cooler with ease.

Nearby, Jeongin and Hyunjin were sprawled out under a big beach umbrella, their legs tangled as Jeongin read aloud from a book. "You skipped a paragraph," Hyunjin pointed out, his tone teasing.

"No, I didn't," Jeongin replied, sticking his tongue out--and making Hyunjin lean in and capture his lips and tongue into a kiss.

"You absolutely did." He whispered on his lips.

"Prove it," Jeongin challenged, holding the book away from Hyunjin, who tried to grab it but ended up pulling Jeongin into a giggling mess instead. Their playful squabble ended with Hyunjin placing a soft kiss on Jeongin's temple, murmuring, "You're lucky I love you, brat."

Jeongin flushed, burying his face in Hyunjin's shoulder.

A little further down the shore, Jisung and Chan were attempting to fly a kite. Or rather, Jisung was enthusiastically running with the string while Chan stood back, arms crossed, a bemused smile playing on his lips.

"You're doing it all wrong," Chan called.

Jisung whirled around, the kite dragging on the ground behind him. "I don't see you trying!"

"That's because I'm smart enough to know this wind isn't strong enough." Chan smirked, walking over and plucking the string from Jisung's hands. "Here, let me show you."

Within minutes, Chan had the kite soaring, and Jisung stared at him, equal parts impressed and pouty. "Show-off."

Chan turned to him, holding the string with one hand and pulling Jisung close with the other by the waist. "You love it," he whispered, his voice filled with affection.

Jisung's pout softened into a smile as he wrapped his arms around Chan. "Maybe I do."

Not far from them, Seungmin and Minho were busy building a sandcastle with intricate towers and walls. Well, Seungmin was building while Minho carved little hearts into the sand.

"Yo stupid grandpa, focus!" Seungmin said, trying to keep his serious expression as he caught Minho carving yet another heart.

"I am focused, and it's 'hyung' to you," Minho replied innocently, though his grin betrayed him.

Seungmin sighed dramatically but couldn't hide his smile. "You're impossible."

"And yet, you wouldn't trade me or us for anything," Seungmin said, leaning over to brush a kiss against Minho's cheek.

The day was filled with moments like these--small, tender exchanges that spoke volumes of the love that had grown between them all. They played in the waves, shared bites of snacks, and teased each other endlessly.

As the sun began to set, they gathered around a bonfire, its warm glow casting flickering light across their faces. Felix sat between Hyunjin and Jeongin, their hands linked as they watched Jisung and Minho argue over the best way to toast marshmallows.

"Not too close to the fire, you'll burn it!" Minho scolded.

"Burnt marshmallows are delicious, you just have bad taste," Jisung shot back, sticking his tongue out.

Seungmin shook his head, resting his chin on Jeongin's shoulder. "They're going to set the whole beach on fire at this rate."

Jeongin laughed, slipping his fingers through Seungmin's. "At least we'd go out in style."

Chan leaned back against Changbin, who had his arms wrapped securely around his waist. "This is nice," Chan murmured, tilting his head back to look up at the stars.

"It's perfect," Changbin replied, pressing a kiss to the top of Chan's head.

The evening deepened, and they lay in a haphazard pile of blankets and bodies, staring up at the night sky. Hyunjin gently played with Felix's hair, his fingers brushing softly against his scalp, while Felix traced patterns on Hyunjin's arm. Minho and Jisung were curled together--and at some point sneaked into their rooms to do some not so cute stuff--their laughter softening into quiet whispers. Jeongin rested his head on Seungmin's chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, while Chan and Changbin shared a comfortable silence, their hands intertwined.

Felix glanced around at his mates--his family--and felt a swell of emotion rise in his chest. This wasn't just love. It was home.

As the stars sparkled above and the waves lapped softly at the shore, Felix whispered, "We're really lucky, aren't we?"

Hyunjin's hand tightened around his and nodded while slightly pouting like holding back tears while looking at his family. Felix laughed, leaning over to kiss him softly.

It was a night filled with love, laughter, and a profound sense of belonging. Together, they had weathered storms and celebrated victories. And now, they faced a future full of promises, hand in hand, heart to heart.

I'm so lucky to have them, aren't I?

Well, this is just another beginning...

But if I tell them that now, they will tease me.

So I guess...
