Felix stood in the practice room, heart pounding in his chest. It was a familiar space, one he often shared with Minho and Hyunjin for hours of dance practice, but tonight, it felt different. The air was thick with tension, his stomach twisting as he glanced at the door, waiting for the others to arrive. His thoughts were a jumble of confusion, fear, and anticipation--an overwhelming storm he couldn't control.
The dim lighting of the room cast soft shadows on the walls, and Felix couldn't help but fidget nervously with the hem of his shirt. It was happening. He was going to talk about it, finally, but the fear gnawed at him.
What if it was too much?
The door creaked open, and Felix looked up to see Minho and Hyunjin walk in first, their faces lighting up at the sight of him. Both alphas had been there earlier, but now there was an undeniable weight in the air, the same tension Felix had been carrying all day. Hyunjin's eyes softened as they met Felix's, and Minho, ever the playful one, gave a small grin, but even he seemed to sense the shift in the atmosphere.
"Hey, Lixie," Hyunjin greeted, walking over with that familiar lightness in his steps. "You okay?"
Felix swallowed hard and nodded, though his throat felt tight. "Y-Yeah, I just... I wanted to talk to everyone."
As if on cue, the door opened again, and the others began to file in. Chan, the oldest, with his warm and calming presence, was the first to step inside, followed by Changbin, whose steady gaze always brought a sense of security. Behind them, Jisung entered with Seungmin, who, despite his usual grumpy demeanor, looked slightly concerned. Finally, Jeongin, the youngest omega, bounded in, but even his youthful energy seemed tempered by the tension hanging in the air.
Chan was the first to speak, his voice gentle as he took in Felix's demeanor. "Lixie-yah, what's going on? You seemed a bit off earlier."
The room fell into a quiet stillness, all eyes on Felix, who felt a sudden rush of emotion. The words he had been holding back, the confusion, the fear--it was all too much. A wave of something else, something darker, seemed to radiate from him, and in that moment, an unsettling scent filled the room. It was faint but unmistakable--a sign of Felix's discomfort, the turmoil he was feeling inside.
Chan's brow furrowed as the scent hit him, and the others quickly caught on. Jisung's nose twitched, and even Seungmin's usual gruffness softened as he stepped closer, his expression shifting to one of concern.
"Lix..." Minho started, moving forward instinctively, his voice steady but laced with worry. "Whatever it is, we're here, okay? You can tell us."
Felix's breath hitched, and he felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes. His throat tightened, but he knew he couldn't hold it in any longer. The fear, the uncertainty--it had built up for too long, and now, with everyone here, waiting patiently, offering their quiet support, it broke through.
"I-I know what's supposed to happen and I k-know I'm supposed to like you all. B-but it's happening..." Felix began, his voice barely above a whisper, his accent thick with emotion. "I know I'm supposed to be part of this, that... that it's normal to feel this way. But I'm scared. I'm s-so scared, and I don't know why."
He bit his lip, fighting the tears that threatened to fall, but they came anyway, slipping down his cheeks. Minho moved closer, placing a hand on Felix's shoulder, his touch warm and grounding. Hyunjin, too, moved in, standing by his side, his presence a quiet reassurance.
"You don't have to be scared," Chan said softly, taking a step forward, his voice steady and calming. "We've all been through it, Felix. We all felt confused at first, but it's okay. You're not alone in this."
Felix shook his head, his voice trembling. "But what if... what if I ruin everything? What if I don't fit? I love you all so much, even if it's still not as mates for all of you, I do, but what if it's too much?"
Jeongin, who had been quiet up until now, stepped forward, his usual playful expression replaced with something more serious. "Hyung, I felt the same way. I didn't think I'd fit in at first either. But we all love you, and that's never going to change."
Jisung nodded quickly in agreement. "Yeah, Lix, it's okay to be scared. We all were. But you're part of us, no matter what."
Changbin, ever the protector, crossed the room and wrapped his arms around Felix, pulling him into a firm embrace. "Felix, you're already part of this. Don't doubt that. We've all been confused at one point, but we're stronger together."
Felix's breath hitched, but the warmth of the hug eased some of the tension in his chest. And then, Seungmin--grumpy, often sarcastic Seungmin--stepped forward, his eyes softer than Felix had ever seen them. Without a word, he joined the embrace, his usually cool demeanor melting away in the face of Felix's vulnerability.
"It's okay to feel confused," Seungmin said quietly, surprising everyone. "It's normal. And we're here for you." Said Changbin next.
Felix's heart swelled, the overwhelming sense of love and acceptance washing over him as the pack surrounded him. Chan pulled him into his broad arms next, and soon, Felix was enveloped in the warmth of his packmates, their comforting scents blending together. He wasn't alone--he never had been.
Chan's voice was the last to reach him, soft and reassuring in his ear. "You don't have to have it all figured out, Lix. We'll figure it out together."
Felix finally let go, the tears flowing freely as he melted into the comfort of their arms, the fear and doubt slowly fading away. He didn't have to be perfect. He didn't have to have all the answers. They loved him, and that was enough.
...
After a few moments of comforting silence, Jisung, ever the mood-lifter, broke through the heaviness. "Okay, baby, now tell me who of these motherfuckers do I have to beat up for making you feel sad?" He grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Minho and Changbin exchanged knowing glances, their expressions a mix of amusement and faux seriousness and Jeongin and Seungmin sighed and slapped their foreheads at the same time. "We all know you won't be able to since we'll fuck you senseless all night if you try to," Minho chimed in as Changbin and him were walking to Jisung, Changbin wrapped his arms around Jisung's tiny waist from behind and Minho kissed his neck, right onto his mating bite, their voices laced with laughter when Jisung whimpered and his tough personality was now gone, relaxing in his alphas arms.
The room erupted with laughter, the tension dissipating like morning mist. Felix was cuddling the youngest omega and the oldest alpha--Jeongin and Chan, as Seungmin was niw sitting in Hyunjin lap cuddling as well--and he felt lighter, the warmth of their affection wrapping around him like a soft blanket. He realized that he didn't have to be afraid; he was loved, and they would always be there for him--no matter what.
