Felix stirred awake, his body feeling unbearably warm, as if a fire was simmering beneath his skin. His eyes fluttered open, taking a moment to focus. The dim light filtered through the room, casting soft shadows over Chan's face beside him, his arm still draped around Felix protectively. Felix's gaze softened, his heart swelling with affection he could no longer ignore. The overwhelming comfort and safety Chan's presence brought him mingled with the dull ache of his heat, and he felt his chest tighten.

He reached up with gentle fingers, tracing the curve of Chan's jaw, brushing over his cheekbone and down to the line of his nose. Chan's face was peaceful, so different from the usual intensity he wore during the day. Felix let his fingers ghost over Chan's lips, hesitating, almost as if he feared waking him. But the ache in his body grew, clawing at him, and he whimpered quietly, pressing himself closer, burying his face into Chan's chest to inhale his scent.

The steady rhythm of Chan's heartbeat thrummed against Felix's cheek, calming him just enough to take a shaky breath. But his body demanded more. His fingers clutched at Chan's shirt as he released another soft whimper, eyes brightening with a faint blue glow that reflected his need. His instincts wanted nothing more than to be held, protected, loved by the alpha beside him.

Felix's quiet whines finally stirred Chan awake, his eyes blinking open slowly. As he fully woke, his gaze sharpened, the soft amber glint in his eyes growing as he took in the naked and vulnerable sight of the omega curled up desperately in his arms. Felix looked up at him, the plea written plainly in his expression.

"Chan...please," Felix's voice was a faint whisper, laced with pain and yearning, his cheeks flushed and eyes gleaming with unspoken need. Chan's breath caught as he looked down at Felix, feeling his own instincts stir dangerously.

Chan tightened his hold on Felix, taking a steadying breath. His voice was gentle but firm as he replied, while a gentle hand brushed against Felix's flushed cheek. "Felix... you know we can't. Not now, not while you're heat-driven. I don't want to do something you might regret later, baby." His words were soft, though a pang of pain crossed his face as he saw Felix's face crumble, a tear slipping down his cheek.

Felix whimpered, burying his face into Chan's shoulder as he clung to him, his quiet cries breaking Chan's heart. All Chan wanted was to comfort him, to give him everything he needed, but he also knew he had to respect Felix's boundaries, especially when he wasn't in the right state of mind.

With gentle but reluctant hands, Chan shifted, easing himself out of Felix's grip despite the omega's desperate hold on him. Felix clutched at him one last time, pleading silently, but Chan managed to pull away, taking a steadying breath as he fought the pull of his own instincts.

To offer some comfort, he leaned down and pressed a lingering, tender kiss on Felix's lips, soft and slow, pouring every ounce of care he had for him into that brief moment. When he pulled back, his own eyes were dark with restraint, and he stroked Felix's hair gently, murmuring, "I'll be back soon. I promise."

Reluctantly, he stepped away, reaching for the clothes he'd brought in the night before, along with a fresh glass of water. He laid the bundle beside Felix, who looked up with shimmering, hurt eyes. Chan leaned down one last time, pressing a soft kiss to Felix's forehead, his voice filled with apology and care.

"I'm sorry, Lixie. You're strong, I know you are. Just rest, okay? I'll check on you soon."

Felix watched him go, tears slipping down his cheeks as he pulled the shirts to him, burying his face in the scents of his mates. The aching warmth in his body didn't fade, but he closed his eyes, clutching Chan's hoodie, Hyunjin's shirt and the others' clothes close, letting the scent comfort him until, eventually, he drifted into another restless sleep, the phantom warmth of Chan's embrace lingering around him.
