The car came to a halt in front of a charming villa, encircled by a garden in full bloom. Jungkook stepped out, cradling a bouquet of pink peonies in his hand. He approached the doorstep with a mix of anticipation and calm and rang the bell.Moments later, the door swung open to reveal an extraordinarily beautiful man, his eyes twin galaxies of light and shadow. His moonlit skin is flawless and serene. Each contour of his face, carved with precision, exudes a surreal beauty. His plump lips and luminous smile radiates warmth. He is a vision of grace and perfection, a living portrait of dreamlike splendor that enchants and captivates with every glance.
"Hi, Hyung," Jungkook said with a smile.
Seokjin looked at Jungkook with a shocked expression, quickly composing himself. "Hey, Jungkook, how are you?"
"I'm fine, Hyung," Jungkook replied, his smile unwavering.
Seokjin stepped aside to let Jungkook in, closing the door gently behind him. "It's been a while," he said softly, his voice tinged with a mixture of regret and longing.
"Yes, it has," Jungkook agreed, his tone calm. He handed Seokjin the bouquet of pink peonies. "These are for you."
Seokjin accepted the flowers, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "Thank you, Jungkook. They're beautiful."
They moved to the living room, the silence between them heavy with unspoken words. Seokjin finally broke it. "I... I owe you an explanation," he began, his voice barely above a whisper. "I fell out of love, and I didn't have the courage to tell you. I married someone else without giving you the closure you deserved. I'm so sorry."
Seokjin's voice cracked as he continued, "I thought avoiding you would make it easier, that maybe you'd forget me and move on. But it was cowardly. Every day I lived with the guilt, knowing I left you in the dark. I hurt you, Jungkook, and there's nothing I can do to change that. I am really sorry."
Jungkook looked at Seokjin, his eyes gentle. "Hyung, I understand. It hurt, but I've had time to heal. I'm here because I want to forgive you. Holding onto anger doesn't help anyone."
Seokjin's eyes filled with tears. "You always were the better person, Jungkook. I don't deserve your forgiveness."
"Everyone makes mistakes," Jungkook said softly. "What matters is that we learn from them and move forward. I want us to find peace."
Seokjin nodded, his heart heavy yet lighter with Jungkook's words. "Thank you, Jungkook. I wish you all the happiness in the world."
"And I wish the same for you, Hyung," Jungkook replied, a genuine smile spreading across his face.
"Take care, Hyung."
As Jungkook turned to leave, Seokjin suddenly called out, curiosity gleaming in his eyes."Wait, Jungkook. You seem different. Happier. Are you in love?"
Jungkook paused, his smile growing wider. "Maybe," he said, with a hint of playful mystery.
Seokjin's curiosity only deepened. "Who is it?" he asked, leaning forward slightly.
Jungkook simply smiled, a knowing sparkle in his eyes. "Take care, Hyung," he said softly, before turning and walking away, leaving Seokjin with a mix of curiosity and a faint smile of his own.
"Invite me to your wedding!" Seokjin shouted with excitement.
Jungkook, smiling and revealing his bunny-like teeth, simply nodded before stepping out the door.
"He's totally smitten," Seokjin said, happiness evident in his voice. He placed the bouquet into the flower vase, a contented smile spreading across his face.
As Seokjin watched Jungkook leave, he couldn't help but feel a surge of warmth. It was rare to see Jungkook so happy and at ease. The usually reserved and stoic young man was positively glowing today. Seokjin chuckled to himself, imagining the day when he would stand beside Jungkook at the altar, witnessing his joyous moment.
Love truly had a way of transforming people, Seokjin mused. It was a beautiful thing to witness, especially when it happened to someone as deserving as Jungkook.
Jungkook reached his penthouse and stood on the balcony, gazing at the breathtaking view before him. Despite the beauty surrounding him, a deep sense of longing gnawed at his heart; it had only been a day, yet he already missed Taehyung intensely. He was acutely aware that Taehyung might never be his. Perhaps by tomorrow, Taehyung will be married and living a blissful life with Yoongi.
Though Jungkook knew he couldn't easily move on from Taehyung, he resolved to try. His heart had been shattered twice before, and he was determined not to let anyone break it again. He reminded himself that a person doesn't need a partner to be complete; it isn't necessary to live with the one you love to find happiness.
With this newfound resolve, Jungkook decided to focus on moving forward. If he couldn't share his life with Taehyung, he could at least emulate Taehyung's carefree and positive attitude. That, he realized, was the best way to honor his feelings and begin to heal.
