"He once doubted love’s gentle call,
Yet when it struck, he surrendered it all,
Falling deeper than the darkest sea,
A heart awakened, finally free."After Jungkook sliced the cake, the atmosphere transformed into one of pure joy. The rich scent of chocolate wafted through the air, blending with the remnants of dinner that lingered on the table, hinting at a feast enjoyed among them.
Jimin, Taehyung, and Seokjin settled comfortably on the sofa, their laughter still lingering in the air from their earlier teasing. Across the room, Jungkook, Hoseok, and Eunwoo were deep in conversation, the warmth of friendship filling the space.
Feeling a sudden urge to shift the mood, Taehyung reached for the remote and switched on the TV. “Let’s watch something together! How about a drama?”
But as the screen flickered to life, the familiar sound of breaking news cut through their playful atmosphere, drawing all eyes to the screen. A serious voice echoed in the room, announcing, “Breaking news: The CEO of the Bingsu Company has been arrested following serious allegations of sexual harassment and involvement in multiple harassment cases, as well as illegal property dealings. In a dramatic protest this morning, the company's gates were covered in eggs, with suspicions that victims of his alleged misconduct were behind the act."
Taehyung and Jimin stood frozen in front of the television, their eyes wide and unblinking as the news report unfolded like a tense thriller. Jimin felt a strange chill creep over him; something was off. Just yesterday, he had resigned from his job, driven by a gut-wrenching discomfort with the CEO’s behavior. Now, hearing the news of the CEO’s arrest for sexual harassment sent a shiver down his spine. It couldn’t be a coincidence. As far as he knew, only Taehyung and Hoseok were aware of his resignation—was Hoseok somehow behind this?
Suddenly, the screen shifted to grainy footage of the company’s entrance. It was a dark and chaotic scene, with blurred silhouettes in the foreground, their backs turned to the camera as they hurled eggs at the gate.
Both soulmates gulped in unison, They exchanged a frantic glance, their hearts racing at the implications of their earlier actions—those eggs had been their idea.
“Do you think…?” Jimin whispered, his voice barely a tremor. Taehyung’s eyes widened even more, nearly bulging from their sockets. What if someone had seen them? The thought sent an icy wave of dread crashing down his spine.
“Act normal, act normal!” Taehyung hissed, his urgency palpable as he gripped the edge of the couch like it was the only thing grounding him to reality. They both plastered on what they hoped looked like casual smiles, but it felt more like a grimace caught between fear and hysteria.
Just then, Jin chimed in, shaking his head with a dramatic flair. “Honestly, that pervert should rot in jail."
"Isn’t this the company where you work?” seokjin continued while looking at Jimin.
“Yeah, it is,” Jimin replied, trying to keep his voice steady.
“He didn’t do anything to you, right?” Jin asked, his gaze piercing through them.
Taehyung, desperate to lighten the mood, burst out laughing—though it sounded more like a startled crow. “If that pervert had done anything to Jimin, he’d be six feet under by now!”
Jimin shot him a panicked look, " it’s good he got arrested,” Jimin said, trying to sound nonchalant, though his voice cracked like fragile glass. “I always got weird vibes from him.”
Taehyung nodded vigorously, “Totally! Like, he had that… that creepy aura, you know? He was at my reception!”
Meanwhile Eunwoo stood with Jungkook and Hoseok, tension crackling in the air as they watched the news report. “People like that pervert should just die”
