"Are you Lily?"
I look up from the counter where I am mixing a coffee drink for a customer and find a boy, young and with dark blonde hair, staring at me with his blue eyes same as mine but lighter in the morning glow. "Yes, how may I help you?"
He smiles at me and slips a rolled yellow note to me over the counter, "This is for you,"
"For me?," I ask amazed.
"Yes,"
"What is it?" I put the frother down and wipe my hands on my apron, plucking the note from his hold.
"I don't know. I am just doing what he asked me to,"
Before I could ask who, he runs out of the restaurant like his tail on fire. Harper, my co-worker wiggles her brows from beside me. "What was that about?"
"God knows," I say, opening the folded note. Harper comes behind me and for some reason I move away and hide the note. She snickers and goes back to the station where orders are waiting.
'Did I say you look beautiful today?' My lips tug up in a smile when I read the note. It wouldn't take a genius to know who sent me this. I look up from the counter trying to spot Lucas but when I couldn't, I continued to read the note, 'I think not so my love, you look like the first ray of sunshine. The coffee smell I look for the first thing in the morning,'
"Why are you smiling?" Harper leans in from the side and I quickly pull the note to my chest.
"Nothing,"
"Oh it's not nothing. It's something something. Someone sent you a dirty note, isn't it?" she grins teasingly. "Is it Lucas?"
"Shut up, Harper,"
"It is Lucas," she says,
"Who else would it be?"
"I don't know, Jude Law?"
"Oh that would be like a dream,"
"I won't woke up if I ever saw him in my dreams," she bites her lower lip and laughs, "But then again he is too old for my age and I don't have any daddy issues so he's out. I'll wait for my own Jude Law. He is probably lost somewhere looking for me,"
"Probably hunting for you in a wrong place" I pat her shoulder and pick the frother again.
"Well tell him to hurry up. I am graduating next year and I would very much like to be kissed on my farewell,"
"Act like a moth then. Attract him to your flame,"
"Huh," she holds her hip then clicks her fingers at me, "Impressive,"
"Thank you,"
"And how do I go about attracting him to my flame. Walk topless at night?"
"No," I chuckle, "Go old school. Hang out in a bar with your friends, have fun, wear something sexy and see how he finds his way to you," I give her suggestive raise of my brow.
"Yeah well then my top will definitely be off me," Laughing, she gives me a flying kiss and returns to the kitchen to answer the chef's call.
I complete my two new orders after that, when another note comes. This time from a girl. Similar age as the boy but with brown hair that is tied in pig tails. "Are you Miss. Lily?" she says pronouncing every syllable.
Oh my god, she is so cute. "Yes, I am. How can I help you?"
"Wow, your eyes do look like diamonds," she says, making me blush, then fumbles with her Daisy Duck bag, "This is for you. The pretty boy told me to give it you,"
