After lunch, I walked with Braedon to Science. He didn't talk to me for the entire time though, which was confusing to me, since we got along so well earlier. I just shrugged it off, thinking that he’ll talk later, and took a seat away from Braedon. When he saw me away from him and I kid you not, he just picked up all his things and sat next to me.
“Don’t leave me…” He mumbled and hugged my arm. I smiled softly and put my hand over his. His face flushed and he pressed his face into my arm. Maybe I was right… Maybe he did fall in love with me at first sight. And I always thought it was impossible… I sighed as the minute bell rang, and more kids poured into the room. This is nice… just him and I… maybe we could… nevermind. Suddenly, the actual bell rang, and I jumped in my seat.
“Chill, newbie…” He mumbled, still holding onto my arm.“Sorry, Brae,” I whispered as I calmed myself down.
“Braedon,” the teacher called. “Sit in your assigned seat. Rory, stay there.” Braedon pouted and I gently squeezed his hand. He finally complied and walked to his assigned seat, across the room from me.
As the teacher started talking about the lesson, I realized what she said. “Rory, stay there.” She said my name. In front of Braedon. Did he even notice!?
I started panicking, but when he smiled at me, I stopped. I felt something in my heart go off. Could this be… love?
