“We have a little while until your school starts, and some visitors to meet up with,” Junpei said as they looked at their watch.

“Well, let’s go then, I guess.” They smiled and let me out to the waiting room. When I entered, I was shocked. Almost all of my friends were there, including Ryan - who’s not my friend, if you were wondering. Braedon was the first one to see me, because everyone else was either too tired to care, asleep or worriedly talking.

“Rory!” He got up quickly and ran to me.
“Hey, Brae,” I whispered as I picked him up into a hug.

“You’re okay!”

“Yes, I am.” I smiled as I held him.

“You’re okay…” He repeated as he buried his face into my neck.

“Rory…?” A soft voice whispered. I looked over at where I heard the voice, and I saw her. My Lorelei. She looked so tired as she blinked the sleep away from her eyes. “Rory!” She squealed as she got up, stumbling but finally making her way to me.

“Oh, Lori, honey…” I set Braedon down and hugged her. “You’re so tired, sweet girl…”

“I missed you so, so, so much!” Lori squealed in a somewhat raspy voice. She must’ve been sleeping for a while.

“Hey, I missed you too!” Braedon protested.

“Yes, I know, Braedon, I know. I missed you both so much as well,” I smiled as Aria and Arrow stood up and hugged me as well.

“Well, we should get to school, right?” I looked back at Junpei, who nodded.

“Yep, you four should get going, and I’ll escort Lorelei home - personally, so you don’t have to worry, okay?” Junpei assured me and I sighed.

“Alright, fine. But you better behave, Lori, or I’m taking you back right now, understand?” I said coldly, and her eyes widened.

“No… no!” She yelped, her ears and tail up in an aggressive manner.

“Lori, hey… I didn’t mean it like that-” She cut me off with a growl.

“I refuse to let you take me back to that awful place!” She yelled, and Junpei gently grabbed her shoulders.

“Lorelei, it’s gonna be okay. Let’s go back home, okay?” Lorelei looked behind her, at Junpei, then back at me. Her ears and tail went down with a soft huff from her.

“Fine, but I want grilled cheese when we get back!” Junpei then chuckled and started to escort Lorelei out.

“Don’t worry, I’ll make you grilled cheese when we get back.” Oh Lori… always being so clingy and needy… what would you do without me…
