I scooted closer to him as he opened up the designated app and pulled up the Pride Month articles. “Wanna switch reading it? Like I read a paragraph, then you read a paragraph?” He asked, and I nodded.
“Sure.”
He started reading the first paragraph, which talked about the origins of Pride. I just watched him again. His mouth moved as he talked, and I couldn’t get my eyes off it. His lips were just so…“Newbie?” I snapped out of my trance.
“Yeah?”
“You… gonna read?” He asked, and I rubbed my eyes.
“Right. Yeah, sorry. Just spacing out a little.” He nodded.
“If you want, I can keep reading. I don’t mind.” He told me, and I thought.
“If you’re sure, then go ahead. Reading’s not exactly my strong suit…” I chuckled softly and he nodded.
“Alright,” he said before continuing to read the article, which just explained more about the origins of Pride. Though, I couldn’t focus. I just kept staring. I wonder if I could capture his features into a drawing…
I thought about me drawing a picture of him, and surprising him with it. The look on his face when I gave it to him was priceless. So, during art, that’s what I decided to do.
“Newbie, you still paying attention?” He asked teasingly.“Yeah… yeah, I'm still paying attention. Definitely not daydreaming.” He laughed softly and playfully (but also gently) punched my arm. I smiled as I rubbed my arm, though it didn’t hurt. Braedon has been acting so kind and friendly around me… Did this make us… friends?
