It was late at night, and all the lights were off. I couldn’t see anything, so my sense of sight wasn’t working. What other senses could I use… well, I could hear the distant beeping of machines, probably down the hall. Didn’t know how helpful that would be.
I couldn’t smell or taste anything, so those two senses were out of the question.
It was eerie, in all honesty. No one was awake. Lorelei and Braedon were huddled up close to me, asleep. I was also pretty sure the nurses and doctors all went home. Great, just great… I muttered as I tried to get up.But Braedon was laying on top of me, and Lorelei at my side, koala-hugging my arm. Well, I guess this would be my sense of touch, right? Feeling my two favorite people by my side. I sighed softly but a smile tugged at the corners of my lips. I’ve never seen Braedon asleep… and it makes me fall in love with him even more…
I gently kissed the top of his head as I rested my head back against the pillow. I then closed my eyes and tried to sleep, but I just couldn’t. The memory kept coming back and I have no clue why. Blood. Death. The light. THE VOICE. It’s back. Oh God, why is it here? It shouldn't be here! Wait, it never even told me who it was!
“I’m back, Rory~! And I'm never leaving ever again~!” The voice giggled. I tried to open my eyes but I couldn't. They wouldn't budge.
Soon, I was transported back to the memory again. Darkness, blood. Too much blood. Oh God, it reeks of blood…
