It's finally Tuesday! Sooooo, now I can show off my pride pins! I opened my drawers and looked through it. Straight ally, Lesbian, Pansexual, Aromatic, Genderfluid... How am I supposed to know what genders and sexualities everyone is? Might as well just grab two of each, just in case. Which I did. I grabbed two of each pin and stuffed them into my pant pockets.
Now, where's mine!? I finally found my special gay man pin in my nightstand, and smiled. I don't know why, but this pin is so special to me... I grabbed my beanie from the nightstand as well, and slipped it over my head. I then clipped the pin onto my beanie, admiring it in the mirror.
Gah, I love Pride Month! Even though it's not this month, it's coming up soon! I got my backpack, swung it over my shoulders and ran out of my room, to the shared living room and kitchen, where Lorelei was. She was curled up on the couch, where I assume she had fallen asleep, as per usual.
"Gosh, PineCone... you have a room for a reason..." I sighed softly but crouched down to kiss the top of her head. She let out a soft snore, and I snickered. Cute... I don't really see this side of her anymore. She's always so feisty now. I forgot how much I missed her sweet side. I then stood back up and quickly wrote a note saying:
My Dear Lorelei,
It appears that it is time for school for me. I shall be back soon. Farewell, my darling.
Love,
Your Rory
I folded the paper up and gently placed it under her arm. "Sweet dreams, Lori," I whispered, then grabbed a quick bite to eat, before sprinting out the house. I took my earbuds out of my backpack, and paired them with my phone. Hopefully, today shouldn't be that draining... Just a little schoolwork and some friends, then home and sleep. Should be alright. I let myself drown in my thoughts -mostly about Braedon- as I walked.
As I continued, I put my phone in my other pants pocket and fidgeted with my tie. I usually only fidget when I'm nervous... but I shouldn't be... today is gonna be fine, right? Nothing should go wrong today... Besides, it's the Pride Day for Spirit Week! My friends and I can show off our amazing pride pins! Absolutely nothing can and will ruin today!
I mustered a smile, even though I had a bad feeling in my gut, but I ignored it. I am not going to let anything happen that would ruin today happen. I practically skipped my way to school, until I was interrupted by a smaller frame crashing into me.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention, didn't even see you there!" I apologized as I got up and dusted myself off.
"It's alright," he told me as I offered him my hand.
"Thanks."
"No problem! To be honest, I wasn't really paying attention either," he admitted with a sheepish chuckle, and took my hand. I helped him off the ground, and he dusted himself off. "So, what's your name?" He asked, and I tensed.
"Well, um, well, I... well..." I stuttered out, and he just smiled.
"It's alright, you don't need to tell. I'm Isaiah Ross, or Izi to my friends. I also run the photography club!" He beamed.
"Where?" I asked, intrigued. To be honest, I've always been a little into photography. I wanna get some photos of Braedon and I. Maybe the others too... Too bad I'm terrible at photography. Maybe this guy can teach me.
"Oh, Hawksigh High. Plus, that's where I got to school. What about you, where do you go to school? Well, if you care to share, that is," he asked me.
"Hawksigh High as well..." I murmured softly, and his face lit up.
Gah, he reminds me of Braedon...
