"But I can't if you don't wake the fluff up!" I yelled, tears streaming down my face as I looked at his bloody face. I sniffled and wiped my tears as I heard a nurse walk in.

"Oh, Rory, you're awake. I wish I wasn't, but... oh well.

"Yeah, I'm awake." She then looked down at her clipboard.

"Braedon won't wake up for a while, so I suggest you go to class, okay?" She told me, and I sighed before looking back at Braedon.

"How much longer is he expected to be unconscious for?" I asked, putting my hand where his heart would be.

"The doctors don't have an exact number, but a few days are to be expected." I clenched my fists but nodded. "Oh, also Rory, do you know what happened to Braedon?" She wandered, and I looked back at her.

"I was unconscious, so how could I have. Why?"

"Well, after someone called 911, the police were asking around the school about who was last with Braedon, or who last saw someone who was with him. Your teacher, Mrs. Wiltzuis, said you were one of the last people - if not the last - one with him, and the police went looking for you because you weren't by Braedon when he was found in this state. They walked up and down the hall, before finding you crumpled up at the bottom of the stairs on the other side of the hallway. Thankfully, you weren't terribly injured, just a minor concussion and a broken nose. The police suspected that you tried to run up the stairs to escape - even though you were on the bottom floor - but tripped and fell, hitting your face. But, enough about that. You need to get to class." she explained and I just tensed, trying to process everything I was just told.

So, it could've been me... What else did the vices make me do? Did I hurt anyone else? Why did the voices make me hurt the man I love...

"Earth to Rory?" The nurse called, waving her hand in my face.

"Oh, Oh! Yeah, I'm awake... Sorry, just thinking," I told her.

"It's alright, Rory, just don't overthink it, okay?" She scribbled something down onto a pink sheet of paper and handed it to me. I took it, confused. "It's a pass," she explained, "you give it to your teacher so they don't mark you late. Speaking of teachers, it's 7th hour right now." I nodded and put the pass in my pocket.

"Bye!" I called as I started to walk out.

"Bye, Rory! Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on Braedon!" She called back before I started walking to my 7th hour class, Social Studies.
